The claim that former President Donald Trump supports violent extremist groups and the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) is a significant assertion. It’s important to note the context and the specific incidents that have fueled such perceptions. Here are the key points that have contributed to this narrative: Charlottesville and "Very Fine People" Comment Charlottesville Rally: In August 2017, a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, led to violence and the death of a counter-protester, Heather Heyer. Trump’s response, stating that there were "very fine people on both sides," was widely criticized for appearing to equate white supremacists with those protesting against them. Proud Boys and Debate Comments 2 Presidential Debate: During the first presidential debate in September 2020, when asked to condemn white supremacist groups and specifically the Proud Boys, Trump responded with "Proud Boys, stand back and stand by." This comment was interpreted by many as a call to action rather than a condemnation. Relationship with Extremist Groups 3 Support from Extremist Groups: Some extremist groups, including white nationalist and militia organizations, have expressed support for Trump, viewing his rhetoric and policies as aligned with their views. This support has sometimes been seen as tacitly encouraged by Trump’s rhetoric. Historical Context 4 KKK Endorsements: During the 2016 campaign, former KKK leader David Duke endorsed Trump. Initially, Trump did not explicitly disavow Duke’s endorsement, leading to widespread criticism. Law and Order Rhetoric 5 Law and Order" Campaign: Trump’s emphasis on "law and order" and his criticism of Black Lives Matter protests were seen by some as prioritizing a crackdown on civil rights movements while being less forceful in addressing white supremacist violence. This rhetoric resonated with some extremist groups, who interpreted it as supportive of their causes. Policy and Administration 6 Policies and Administration: Critics argue that some of Trump’s policies, such as his immigration stance and handling of racial issues, emboldened extremist groups. The reduction of funding for programs aimed at countering violent extremism and domestic terrorism during his administration was also a point of concern. Statements and Actions Post-Presidency 7 `Post-Presidency: Even after leaving office, Trump’s rhetoric and actions continue to be scrutinized for potential links to extremist groups. The January 6 Capitol riot, involving many individuals associated with extremist ideologies, further intensified the scrutiny of Trump’s influence on these groups.

SCI vigorously joins the conservative coalition in opposition to expanding #SelectiveService registration to include women. This would be a historic and strategic policy change ignoring the biological differences between females and males that will affect America's national defense. Women who voluntarily join the #ArmedForces are admirable and patriotic and we salute with the highest regard; however, forcing all women to register does not award the equality stamp. #EqualRights does not imply equal physicality. Drafting our daughters doesn't prove their worth or status as a citizen. #Military leaders should make strategic decisions and policy based on what is the best defensive and offensive maneuvers in the combat theater not gender blinded ones. #NDAA #SenateArmedServices #Daughters #Granddaughters #Nieces #Women Maggie McKneely Concerned Women for America Independent Women's Forum Women's Congressional Policy Institute Andrea Bottner Hadley Heath ManningAmber SchwartzCarrie Sheffield Barbara Ledeen Amber Niblock Heather Reams Heather Sellers Advancing American Freedom Ann Stone Lois Stirewalt Murchison Candice BoyerOlivia Grady, Esq. The security of the United States end of the western democracies must come first above all our petty political in fighting, and the use of our Congress to accomplish political aspirations instead of the defense of the nation. And yes, the defense of the nation does include supporting our allies around the world. The Republican parties, petty political rants is frightening, our allies, thinking that the United States no longer stands for freedom and self government, and they cannot continue these policies, without lying themselves with our enemies around the world! May God in our patriots, protect the United States of America from petty political nonsense…………. https://lnkd.in/davFe-S2

How England's Civilization evolved from Authoritarianism to Liberal Democracy INTRODUCTION : England's journey from a society marked by oppressive landlord practices, symbolized by incidents like the Peterloo Massacre (*) to the liberal democracy it is today, has been a transformative process shaped by historical events, social movements, and political developments. 1. Feudal England and Authoritarianism: In the pre-modern era, England was characterized by feudal structures, where landlords wielded significant power. The notorious Peterloo Massacre of 1819 (*) exemplified the stark class disparities and brutal suppression of dissent. 2. Industrial Revolution and Social Unrest: Rapid urbanization and harsh working conditions fueled discontent among the burgeoning working class. Movements like Chartism (**) emerged, advocating for political reform and suffrage rights, challenging the existing autocratic system. 3. Reform Acts and Political Transformation: The Reform Acts of the 19th century marked a turning point. They expanded voting rights and addressed some inequities, fostering a gradual shift toward a more inclusive political landscape. The extension of suffrage helped dismantle the oligarchic elements in English governance, paving the way for a more representative system. 4. World Wars and the Consolidation of Democracy: The 20th century brought two World Wars that reshaped global dynamics and influenced England's political trajectory. The sacrifices made during these conflicts prompted a reevaluation of societal values. Post-World War II, the welfare state emerged, emphasizing social equality and public welfare, further democratizing England's political landscape. 5. Cultural Changes and Progressive Ideals: Cultural shifts, epitomized by the Swinging Sixties and subsequent decades, brought about more liberal attitudes. A wave of social progressivism challenged traditional norms, fostering a climate conducive to democratic ideals. Issues like civil rights, gender equality, and LGBTQ+ rights gained prominence, reflecting a commitment to pluralism and individual freedoms. 6. Contemporary Liberal Democracy: Today, England stands as a liberal democracy, where universal suffrage, rule of law, and individual rights are foundational principles. The evolution from landlord oppression to a system characterized by free and fair elections, respect for human rights, and a robust civil society underscores the resilience and adaptability of England's civilization. CONCLUSION: The transformation of England's civilization from a society marred by landlord tyranny to a liberal democracy reflects a complex interplay of historical, social, and political factors. The journey, marked by struggles, reforms, and societal shifts, has shaped a nation that values inclusivity, representation, and individual liberties, embodying the enduring spirit of democracy.
