In a memorable exchange from 2002, Charlie Rose had Will Smith on his TV show. Smith shared a profoundly transformative episode from his youth—his father's challenge to him and his brother to reconstruct a 16x30 wall at the forefront of his business. Faced with a task that seemed insurmountable, Smith recalled his initial despair: "I remember standing back looking at that wall thinking, it seemed like an eternal void was destined to remain there." Yet, through the commitment to daily effort over a year and a half, the seemingly impossible was achieved—the wall was built. In retrospect, Smith distilled this monumental experience into a nugget of wisdom: "The quest isn't about erecting the most magnificent wall ever witnessed. It begins with a singular focus—to lay one brick with unparalleled perfection...and if this becomes your daily mantra, eventually, you stand before a wall." This narrative serves as a relevant allegory for life and success: Confronted with vast ambitions or complex projects, the essence lies in focusing on the singular task at hand. The magnitude of the wall, with all its intimidation, fades in comparison to the simplicity and purity of laying today's brick to the best of our ability. It's in the aggregation of these small, meticulously executed steps that the extraordinary takes form. To paraphrase a timeless truth: From the smallest of actions spring the grandest of achievements. Let us approach today, and every day thereafter, with the resolve to lay our brick—each one a testament to our dedication to excellence and a step towards the mastery of our craft.

Bet on yourself Vince Gilligan, the creator and producer of Breaking Bad might not have even pitched the show to Sony had he known that Weeds existed. Both are shows where a suburban parent starts selling illegal substances for quick cash. Furthermore, Weeds had already begun airing and was Showtime’s highest rated series. We already know what happened with Breaking Bad, though. It got 5 seasons, 248 award nominations, 92 award wins, and Rotten Tomatoes ranked it as the best TV series in the past 25 years. I personally struggle to write because I think, “everybody knows this stuff already”. I don’t post here because I’m looking for visibility (it doesn’t hurt, but it’s not my goal). I want to write things that are insightful and helpful, and sometimes it’s hard to think about why my voice would be better than sharing a link with all of you. But I think there’s something to the concept of continuing to hone in on your voice. When Gilligan learned about Weeds, the co-heads told him, "Great show. But your thing is completely different. She deals pot and your guy deals crystal meth. Apples and oranges." You have something unique intrinsically because it’s coming from you. So bet on yourself. Bet on your vision. We’re all working with the same clay, but I still want to see what you end up making. TV Show Recommendation: Succession (2018)   Succession planning for an empire or a conglomerate is never an easy task. Especially when there are multiple contenders for the top job and all of them are the children of the patriarch or the matriarch.   But this show is not only about running and handing over an empire. This show also highlights the inner workings of a media outlet, the dark realities of the top management, and how profit is always a priority over producing thoughtful content for the public.   Loosely based on Rupert Murdoch and Fox News, this show does an exceptional job displaying a trust-deficient between the patriarch, Logan Roy, and the heir apparent, Kendall Roy.   Succession also highlights the political divisions arising from the social and electoral point of view which leads to media biases in the newsrooms. New Post: Will there be a ‘Masters Of The Air’ season 2? - https://lnkd.in/gF4s4QB6 - With the ninth and final episode of Masters Of The Air set to be released tomorrow, will there be a second season?  READ MORE: Austin Butler on playing Elvis Presley: “How do I let my soul meet his soul?”   Based on the 2007 book of the same name by Donald L. Miller, the miniseries follows the actions of the 100th Bomb Group, nicknamed the Bloody Hundreth, who served under the Eighth Air Force for the US during World War II.  The final episode arrives on Apple TV+ on March 15.  The series, produced by Apple Studios, features a cast filled with the stars of tomorrow, including Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, Barry Keoghan, Isabel May, Raff Law and Ncuti Gatwa.  Masters Of The Air is pitched as a companion series to 2001’s Band Of Brothers and 2010’s The Pacific. One of the key reasons is due to those involved behind the camera, with all three shows produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.  All three shows also tackle the subject of World War II from different US regiments. Band Of Brothers focuses on the Easy Company parachute infantry regiment and its participation in the Western Front through Europe. The Pacific, meanwhile, follows the Marine Corp’s actions in the Pacific War, while Masters Of The Air jumps into the skies to chart the 100th Bomb Group unit’s bombing raids over Germany and other territories.  Will there be a Masters Of The Air season two?  Given the nature of Miller’s 2007 book, the show’s initial source material, and the real life nature of the subject matter, it is not immediately clear how the show could be continued beyond this first run of episodes.  Apple Studios has not confirmed any details about the show being recommissioned, but given the show’s positive reception from audiences and critics, it may be that the show’s creators John Shiban and John Orloff are given leeway to explore expanding the show’s parameters in the future.
