Up next on our International board introductions we are honored to introduce you to our Sh'lichim (Vice Presidents of Jewish Enrichment), Logan Reich from Eastern Region and Ari Weisman from North Texas Oklahoma Region. This year, they will support their counterparts by creating spaces where every Jewish teen feels at home in our Movement, regardless of their Jewish identity. Their goal is to discover and create new ways to make Jewish traditions and practices feel important and relevant for the rest of our lives. Additionally, they will be working to enhance Israel education across our Movement by educating every Aleph and BBG about Israel, with the ultimate goal of helping them develop their own specific and individual connection to our homeland. Want to learn more about their year? Check out https://lnkd.in/gxkSx2Tw.

Understanding hope in a philosophical light compels us to reflect on our roles within this dynamic. As global citizens, how do we respond to the hope of others in distress? Do our actions contribute to the fulfillment or the frustration of this hope? Such reflection will determine the way we answer these questions and shapes not just policies and responses to crises (refugee crisis and others) but the very fabric of our shared humanity. Hope, then, is not merely a survival and health strategy; it is a profound testament to the resilience and indefatigable spirit of those who dare to dream of a better tomorrow amidst the rubble of their pasts. It challenges each of us to respond with compassion and justice, ensuring that hope is not a cruel irony but a prelude to a new beginning. Last Sunday, Joshua explored the DISRUPTIVE ministry of Jesus through the lens of castes...how in society divisions, hierarchies & power structures are maintained around the world. We know that, as Christians, we are called to be followers of this disruptive God - we are called to question caste. We are called to consider how caste is reflected in our own lives and help co-create a caste-free community. As we prepare for Lent, let us reflect on how we can be individual disrupters, supporting the marginalized and those without power. Here is Pastor Joshua: https://lnkd.in/gQ-buBC4
