A few weeks ago, Delivery Hero SE – the world’s leading local delivery platform – was able to move into its new office space in the historic Haupttelegraphenamt, marking the completion of their campus. Back in 2014, we were commissioned by this M-DAX-listed company to create an innovative workplace by expanding the Fernsprechamts and the Torhauses West, followed by the Torhaus Ost in 2018/2019. For ten years now, we’ve stood side by side and are grateful for the trust placed in us. 🤝 This exciting project involved transforming an extension of approximately 16,750 m² into a creative and unique work environment for the approximately 3,500 employees in Berlin. 👉 The vision? To create a modern workplace that meets the demands of a globally operating company while reflecting Delivery Hero’s corporate culture — with flexibility and accessibility embedded as fundamental cornerstones from the start. 👉 Our tasks in the project? From contractor negotiations, tender processes, representing both the landlord and tenant, project management, furniture planning, to implementing the workplace concept. 👉 The result? A modern work environment in a listed building. Around 500 workstations and more than 200 alternative working spaces, divided into neighbourhood zones, innovative acoustic and lighting concepts, and flexible furniture are just some highlights of the concept. 👉 The work environment? How has it been moving to Greenland? (Story 2: The Work Version) Leaving the world’s most reputable company (yes, The LEGO Group has actually won that title numerous times) and stepping into a globally unknown company might not make sense to everyone. I’ll forever cherish the time at The LEGO Group and at the same time I’m extremely happy about the decision to join Tusass A/S as Head of Communication, Product Development, and Marketing. Here’s why I’m happy about the decision: 🚁 The timing for taking on this position is excellent. A new strategy is being formed. Simultaneously, we are planning all our new brand activities. 🕵️To do well, we have prioritised spending time with customers. A team member and I have just returned from a trip to northern Greenland with the purpose of collecting insights about their needs and experiences. Time extremely well spent. The downside of visiting customers is the carbon footprint and the cost (Tusass is owned by society) - two big dilemmas and something I don’t take lightly. 👩🌾 The team I lead is an awesome group of people. I have never before led such a young team (Gen Zs and young Millennials). It’s no surprise that they are super clever, witty, and brave 🔥 We have so many things we aspire to do and change. A significant leadership task is to ensure the change load is sustainable. 🇬🇱 The level of business complexity is astounding. We are operating in a country with less than 57,000 inhabitants. No cities are connected by roads. Part of the market is monopolistic and part is competitive. Fortunately, I find complexity really exciting 😅 🩳 The overall design principle for everything I do: Life is short. To get the most out of it, taking leaps is a necessity.
