HIRING! Yes I have been trying to hire. I am looking for a suitable candidate for the post of the PRINCIPAL of ADHARSHILA HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOL (www.adharshila.org.in). The school is situated in a remote village and serves one of the most underprivileged communities, free of cost. The post is still vacant after advertising on all sorts of platforms, both free and paid, and interviewing numerous candidates. The applicants are of found to be of 2 types. One, the urban educationist who have tons of experience as heads of educational institutions and second, social workers who have no experience of running a school. The latter we cannot hire while the former almost always decline. We can't 'afford' them despite the offer being handsome by the industry standards. So, definitely, we are looking at the wrong place. What mistakes are we making? There are millions of people looking for a job. How do we seek the right ones out? Any suggestions?
