I have seen many UPSC aspirants saying " I want to serve the Nation" thats why I want to join Civil Services but if you look on a deep level the Private Companies are serving the Nation in a way (Directly or Indirectly) One of the prime example is Railways the Officers in Railways are selected through UPSC only but if you look deep down the Parts of the Locomotive Trains are made by Private Firms Only The Traction Motors of the New train Vande Bharat Express are manufactured by Medha Drives the construction of the new railway lines railway stations is done by CivilCompanies by L and T , KCC International , Similarly Many government department of India are actually majorly supported by Private Companies like even the website of the Government department are created by Private IT firms Overall Private companies also doing Public Service in an indirect way What I personally read that India was actually Colonised by Britishers and No Major Industrialisation takes place after that due to this A Majority of the India (Especially North India ) dont have major industry thats why Major of Youth was attracted to it India Majorly follow Socialism for a long time so this might be a hangover of colonialism Overall I personally believe that Bureaucracy should be there because India is still underdeveloped but there must be in the reforms in the recruitment system
