Getting outside in the summer can be great, but sometimes kids can't recognize when they need to drink water or when they're dehydrated. As an adult in their life, it is important to remind them and help them build good hydration habits early in life. Some tips include: - Make sure they have a big drink after any sports activity to make up for any sweat they have lost. - Keep a jug of fresh tap water within reach, and on warm days, keep the jug of water in the fridge. - Send a labelled, clear water bottle with them to school or camp/daycare each day. Your only one step away from being your greatest potential ....................... Lecturer / Director / Coach / Speaker
No one is forcing you to do anything that you don’t want to do ! Theres a popular quote that goes; you don’t have to do this you get to do this. Reference to my Sunday post last week about laundry. However I believe we can take it a step further to; you don’t HAVE to, really you WANT to. Often we complain about the things that deep down we really do want to do even if it they really annoy us. Take these examples; ➡️ 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐬 𝐮𝐩 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐭𝐨 Your kids could walk or catch the bus, but maybe you decided that it’s too hot/cold or unsafe so you prefer to pick them up. ➡️ 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐭𝐨 You could buy takeaway every night if wanted, instead you choose to cook to provide healthier choices and save on cost. ➡️ 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐭𝐨 You could live on the doll like thousands of others but you want to work to provide for you and your family ➡️ 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐭𝐨 Watching hoarding shows, you see that cleaning isn’t a priority for them. But you choose to clean your home because you appreciate being organised and feeling comfortable in your space. These tasks, often seen as burdens, are actually reflections of our deeper desires for the welfare and comfort of ourselves and our loved ones. When overwhelmed, remember that these are the choices that enrich our lives and those around us for a more fulfilling life.
