We're excited to share our latest project for the University of Puget Sound, the second dorm we've revitalized on campus. Originally built in the 1960s, these dorms needed a refresh to meet the needs of today’s students and support on-campus living. Our design approach honored the history and legacy of the campus while introducing a modern, approachable twist. We incorporated the university’s iconic burgundy color, added environmental graphics for wayfinding, and created open kitchen and living lounges to foster social connections. Each floor now also features study lounges to support academic success. Historic architectural elements, like the fireplaces in the first-floor lounge and meeting spaces, were preserved and celebrated with custom wallcoverings, updated finishes, and furniture. Additionally, we added accessible and gender-neutral restrooms on each floor, ensuring inclusivity for all students. Check out the photos to see how we've blended the past and present to create a welcoming, functional space for students! 📷: Aaron Locke #EGD #dormliving #UPS #BCRAdesign

The bold floral wayfinding elements (specifically the sign types with big numbers next to the door frames) are STRIKING! Soooo well done and inspiring!
Such a great project! It was fantastic working with your team, as always 😊
Beautiful work!

2moWow, what a transformation! The historic nature of campus was something I always appreciated while I attended, so it's great to see that being honored in the refreshed design.
