According to the report published by the International Labour Organization, a specialized agency of the United Nations, women spend around 3 times more time on unpaid care work than men. If you are in the seat of power to make relevant changes, these needs to be addressed immediately: ► Economic Policies: Women needs to be supported by the economic policies that includes better healthcare, gender equality pay, care support & equal opportunities ►Healthcare Inclusion: Healthcare research and education must include women to close the gap in knowledge, know-how and treatment abilities. ►Investors: Support women by enabling access to funds To everyone else, if you are unaware of how you can take part in positive change, please read more about this on https://lnkd.in/dfAmkcjg It's not only about being equal with men -- this issue is much more than that. Director, Games Engagement and Partnerships | Office of Vice President Industry and External Engagement and Griffith Business School
We applaud the decision makers and thought leaders behind the critical change in equity for women in the workplace! Colleagues at Griffith continue to lead in this space, drawing attention to the changes earmarked by Federal Minister Katy Gallagher including locking in superannuation during parental leave. ✅ Through the The Committee for Brisbane Equity subcommittee, we are also focused on bringing attention to the increased quality, productivity and excellence that equity can bring to workplaces. New federal procurement rules will be developed by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) so Australian businesses with 500 employees or more will be required to meet new gender equality targets if they want to win government contracts (noting federal public procurement is worth $70 billion). How ready are we Brisbane? Sonali Hedditch Kylie Bates Kristan Conlon Simone Fullagar Adele Pavlidis

A critical lesson I've learned as Global SVP HR & Employee Experience at Orange Business is that to foster change, we must actively participate in the process. And this axiom is particularly relevant when we talk about gender parity in the tech industry. As a male leader in this sector, it becomes incumbent upon me, and my counterparts, to use our platforms to emphasize and amplify the importance of gender equality. - Laurent Aufils #WomeninTech #HelloWomen
