In our latest instalment of the Design Considerations series, we dive into the captivating design of the VIDENA Aquatic Centre. Crafted by BDP Pattern, this Olympic-class facility was swiftly delivered for the 2019 Pan American and Para-pan American Games in Lima Working closely with FINA, the facility features Lima's first Olympic size pool with a stainless steel tank which greatly contributed to the fast turnaround of this development which took just 70 weeks from start to finish. Versatile in function, it includes a competition pool, a warm-up pool with a movable floor, and a diving pool with a bubbling system, accommodating various activities. As Lima readies for the 2027 games, the VIDENA Aquatic Centre stands as a symbol of architectural brilliance.
