How can we live within the planet’s boundaries, and what does a planet-positive home look like? 🌎💚 That’s the question Home.Earth Foundation is posing to young architectural studios through the One Planet Challenge. A distinguished jury will evaluate the proposals, including current and former Copenhagen city architects Lars Jensen (jury chair), Tina Saaby , and Camilla Richter-Friis van Deurs. They’ll be joined by nel jan schipull (partner, Tegnestuen Vandkunsten), Elisabeth Hermann Frederiksen (Sustainability Lead, Urban Partners), and Rasmus Nørgaard (representing Home.Earth Foundation). The challenge: To live planet-positively, we must drastically reduce individual space and resource consumption by building fewer private m² and more shared m². This requires rethinking the current average of 59 m² per person in Denmark and challenging traditional notions of a home. The competition is now live. Sign up by the link in the comments 💚

The accessible tourism market is worth $13.5 billion in Australia and represents upto 24% of the population. With figures like that, tourism operators can’t afford not to be catering for accessible visitors. But more importantly there are other benefits. Accessibile visitors who have great experiences are much more likely to repeat visit, they travel in groups with carers and family members and they also tend to travel more in off peak or shoulder seasons. Accessibile visitors also contribute to positive outcomes in staff morale, job satisfaction and of course the visitor benefits from incredible visitor experiences which can lead to word of mouth promotion. Im proud to have been part of an organisation that has won a Tourism Hall of Fame award for our accesible visitor experiences. Catering for accessible visitors doesnt have to be hard or expensive. It all starts with a decision to do something. Getaboutable run great information sessions and this webinar is a great - and free - opportunity to learn more about an essential part of strengthening your organisation and your visitor experience.
