Volunteerism is at an all-time low, while social media usage is at an all-time high. But, what if? 🔸What if we chose to buck those trends? 🔸What if we countered social disconnection with human reconnection? 🔸What if we chose to slow down? Call it radical kindness or simple neighborliness; what if we prioritized more of each other this year? In Carrie Fox's first #FindingTheWords of 2025, she offers an open call to action for the year ahead. Read on: https://lnkd.in/ewPX3enA #Communications #SocialImpact #CourageousLeadership

In my role at StriveTogether, I truly believe that one of the most transformative and impactful opportunities we have is to create the structures to bring brilliant people together and then get out of the way as they learn from one another. But simply learning about new ideas can't be the end result - learning has to transcend geographies and turn into tangible action. In this example, from Colorado to Connecticut, the Civic Influencer approach is transforming the way young people engage in policy and deliver results.
As the #CradleToCareer Network has advanced toward deeper #SystemsTransformation, it's more important than ever to create spaces where place-based partnerships can come together to learn from one another and develop plans to put learning in to action back home. This "Network Effect" is one of the primary roles StriveTogether plays in getting better, more equitable outcomes for kids. In a new blog, Bridget Jancarz, vice president of network impact, describes how an introduction to Rocky Mountain Partnership's Civic Influencer work at last year's StriveTogether Policy Summit sparked a transformative idea for Norwalk ACTS. At StriveTogether, we often talk about the "Network Effect" -- putting the right people in the right place at the right time to inspire real action. By providing a platform for knowledge sharing, collaboration and resource mobilization, we empower #CradleToCareer Network members to create sustainable solutions and amplify the voices of those most impacted by systemic challenges. Today is Purple Tuesday: a great day to set habits to #ThinkAccessibility all year round. #Inclusive design, inclusive tech and inclusive workplaces are essentials in today's UK because: - at least 1 in 5 of us are disabled, and 1 in 3 experience a long term health condition - that's millions of people, and yet only 10% of businesses globally have a targeted strategy to enable everyone to buy, use or visit what they wish - 75% of disabled people and their families have walked away from a business because of poor accessibility or customer service - the disability employment gap persists, overlooking vital talent - and cutting people out is neither right nor smart. This is the core commercial case for inclusive design in your products and services - and in your workforce too. Employing disabled people at every level of your organisation and the board increases your customer insight. Check out Purple Tuesday's resources for leadership and staff of organisations from all sectors and sizes to foster awareness, deepen understanding, and implement solutions for enhanced accessibility in their customer environments: https://purpletuesday.co/ Have a great Tuesday 💜 !
