China has officially launched its first domestically developed deep-sea exploration vessel, Tansuo-3, in Sanya City, Hainan. The ship is set to begin its research missions in 2025. Designed by the Sanya Institute and other leading organizations, Tansuo-3 promises to advance China’s manned submersible capabilities. The vessel boasts impressive specs, including a top speed of 16 knots, a range of 15,000 nautical miles, and the ability to accommodate around 80 crew members. Built in 2023, the ship completed an eight-day sea trial in October and is now ready for service under the Institute of Deep-Sea Science and Engineering. #Tansuo3 #DeepSeaExploration #ChinaTech #OceanResearch #MaritimeInnovation #Trending

Meet the Icebreaker Revolutionizing Polar Exploration: Xuelong 2! 🚢❄️ On July 5th, China's 14th Arctic Expedition set sail from Qingdao on the Xuelong 2, a state-of-the-art polar icebreaker. 🌊🚀 As China’s first self-built polar research vessel, Xuelong 2 debuted in 2019 and completed its 40th Antarctic mission just this April. This behemoth measures 122.5 meters in length, weighs nearly 14,000 tons, and carries a crew of 101. Most impressively, it uses dual-direction icebreaking technology, capable of breaking 1.5 meters of ice and 0.2 meters of snow at speeds of 2-3 knots! 🚢🧊 Equipped with top-notch research tools like winches, deep-sea profiling devices, and seismic instruments, Xuelong 2 is set to push the boundaries of oceanic and fisheries research. 🌐🔬 Over the decades, China's polar expeditions have achieved incredible milestones: from the establishment of the Great Wall Station 40 years ago to the recent opening of the Qinling Station. Each expedition has paved the way for scientific breakthroughs and demonstrated that even the most remote corners of the earth are within reach. 🌍🌟 Xuelong 2’s capabilities send a powerful message: The world’s end won’t come to us, but we can certainly venture to it. 🌅💪 If there’s no path ahead, we’ll break through and create one. This is also the spirit of the polar explorers. 🛤️🌠 #TechInnovation #PolarExploration #Xuelong2 #ArcticExpedition #ChinaTech #ScienceAndTechnology #OceanicResearch #Innovation #BreakingBarriers #ScientificBreakthroughs
