We're all culprits of sitting too long. But did you know excessive sitting can be as harmful as smoking? Brad Serwer, MD FACC FSCAI, an interventional cardiologist and chief medical officer at VitalSolution-Cardiology, says, "Prolonged sitting has been coined the ‘new smoking’ because of all of the negative consequences it has on your health." From cardiovascular issues to musculoskeletal problems, prolonged sitting can impact various areas of our health. So, what can we do to combat this?
