I'm pleased to share the first publication based on my dissertation work! In this article we validate an instrument aimed at measuring community cultural wealth (CCW) in a biology student population at a large Hispanic-serving Institution. We identify 10 dimensions to CCW and detail them in the article. We hope that researchers can benefit from this instrument to explore how CCW may place a role in their contexts. https://lnkd.in/emJPP5Du

We in the Office of Training & Workforce Development (OTWD) know that this is a fairy tale. While we can’t tell you what your specific hiring committee, in your specific department, at your specific university or institution requires in their tenure-track faculty hires, on a national level, funding is not a critical factor in obtaining most tenure-track faculty positions.
