Beartha currently is working on a program named Stay Pawsome. Stay Pawsome is a program that fosters animals in shelters. Some people may not know this but some animal shelters are at full capacity and sometimes families have to call months ahead in order to make an appointment. Due to that some people go to extreme measures and may leave their pet at the location, the pet becomes a stray, or the people and the individual lives in the street. Pets are family and shouldn’t be left behind. Between 5% to 10% of homeless people in the United States own pets (mainly dogs and/or cats). Of the 241,117 dogs and cats that entered North Carolina shelters, 170,753 found positive placements, while 47,652 were killed (76% were cats), for a save rate of 70.82%. 25.58% of North Carolina shelters are no-kill (a state is considered to be no-kill when every brick-and-mortar shelter serving and/or located within the state has a save rate of 90% or higher). Beartha wants to help fill in that gap and provide a chance for pets and their parents to find peace and stability. If you are able to donate beartha.org or know someone that would be interested in sponsoring and/or has a rental property that would be great for this program we would greatly appreciate that help. #community #animalshelters #nc #cary #raleigh #durham #wakecounty #durhamcounty

🌟 Our Journey to Hope: The Birth of Animal Kingdom Inc. 🌟 In 2021, amid the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, our family faced a crisis that tested our resilience. Homelessness forced us into an apartment that didn’t accept pets, and our beloved pitbull, unfairly labeled as aggressive due to her breed, had nowhere to go. The few extended boarding options available came with exorbitant costs of over $500, a sum we simply couldn’t afford given our circumstances. Heartbroken and out of options, we had to surrender her to an animal shelter. This painful experience ignited a mission in us: to create a sanctuary where families in crisis wouldn’t have to choose between their wellbeing and their beloved pets. Animal Kingdom was born from this vision. At Animal Kingdom Inc., we offer: 🏡 Free boarding for families facing temporary hardships, ensuring pets are cared for with love and dignity. 🐾 Acceptance of all domestic animals, from dogs and cats to birds and iguanas. 🤝 Commitment to keeping pets with their families for as long as needed, completely free of charge. 💖 Facilitation of adoptions to find loving, permanent homes when reunification isn’t possible. We wish Animal Kingdom had been there for us when we needed it most. Now, we are here for others, turning our difficult experience into a source of hope and support for families in crisis. Join us in our mission to keep families and their pets together. Follow our journey and support Animal Kingdom Inc. as we make a difference, one paw at a time. #AnimalKingdomInc #Nonprofit #PetSanctuary #FamilyFirst #CommunitySupport #AnimalWelfare #COVID19 #Homelessness #HopeAndSupport

There are so many organizations helping animals in so many different ways. Minneapolis Animal Control is a great option, and they have several ways you can help. You will never regret volunteering your time to something so important. When you help animals, you help people... sometimes more than you know. Volunteer opportunities include: >The Animal Safety Net Program: Short and long-term care for animals facing displacement from their families from medical emergencies, disasters, domestic violence and other reasons. >Foster care: A temporary home to save lives and reduce the stress for animals in transition. >Rehabilitation: Working with staff to rehabilitate animals in physical, mental or behavioral crisis to help them safely return to the community. >Dog walking and running: Every animal gets out of its kennel or cage every day. Volunteers walk dogs three times a day. >Cat cuddling: Volunteers give cats 1:1 socialization and exercise daily. >Dog play groups: Dog play groups let dogs learn good behavior from other dogs. >Matchmakers: Specially trained volunteers work with customers to help them find the perfect pet for their family. >Administrative projects: Volunteers who may not be able to work directly with animals can still help us.

Let's help stray dogs find their forever homes ❤️ Many stray dogs in our communities walk the streets alone, searching for food and shelter. These pups deserve love and care just like any other pet. - Offer food and water: Leaving out a bowl of fresh water and some dog food can make a big difference for a hungry pup. - Provide shelter: If possible, create a makeshift shelter out of cardboard or a blanket to offer them a safe haven. - Spread the word: If you see a friendly stray dog, take a picture and post it on social media with the #FindAFureverHomeForStrays hashtag. This can help connect the dog with a loving family. - Support animal shelters: Shelters play a vital role in rescuing and caring for stray dogs. Consider donating or volunteering your time to a local shelter. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of stray dogs. Let's work towards a world where every dog has a loving home #CompassionForAnimals #StraysDeserveLoveToo #BeTheChange

To accomplish his mission, Cristian plans to film in all 50 states for a minimum of 45 days to create a one-hour film for each state. We are hoping to secure ongoing sponsorship for the 50-state project.
Homeless individuals living with dogs on the streets face unique and significant challenges as they strive to survive together. These individuals often have to choose between staying with their pets and accessing services, as many shelters do not accommodate animals. This forces them to remain on the streets, where finding enough food, water, and healthcare for both themselves and their dogs is a daily struggle. Despite these hardships, the bond between a homeless person and their dog provides essential emotional support and companionship, offering a sense of protection and loyalty that is invaluable in such dire circumstances. Efforts to assist this population include creating pet-friendly shelters, offering mobile veterinary services, and community outreach programs that provide necessities like food and medical care. Addressing the needs of homeless people and their pets requires a compassionate and inclusive approach that recognizes the profound connection between them. Cristian Ruben is a unique filmmaker and documentarian with a journalistic background. His single focus, his one mission, is to record the stories of individual rescuers and rescue groups in the trenches that help our homeless cats and dogs, telling their stories with sometimes heartbreaking images of their journey to save the lives of our pets. It is very obvious from watching interviews with Cristian, or speaking with him, that his dedication to getting the dramatic films that are needed to inspire viewers to act comes from a deep sense of love for our cats and dogs. He feels their pain and, through his excellent ability to capture dramatic scenes on camera, tries to ensure that viewers also empathize with the plight of these animals. They are lost, abandoned, discarded, and left to fend for themselves in hostile environments. “ Ariel H. ・・・ 🐶🐱 Each year, approximately 920,000 shelter animals are euthanized (390,000 dogs and 530,000 cats). Sydney has every odd stacked against her. ➡️ She’s 6 years old. (Which is considered “senior” by adoption standards) ➡️ She’s black. (Studies have shown that black dogs are less likely to be adopted than lighter-colored dogs) ➡️ She’s a shepherd. (Shepherds are often considered a “vicious breed”) ➡️ She’s a large dog. (Studies show that small dogs are adopted more often because they can more easily fit into the owner’s home). Most shelters would have put her down. Instead, she was rescued by Pilots to the Rescue and now enjoys life with her adopted family. Unfortunately, not all dogs and cats enjoy the same happy ending. That’s why we need your help. Share this post and consider donating to Pilots To The Rescue. Your support can help Pilots to the Rescue save more lives. ❤️https://lnkd.in/gGZWecvB #pilotstotherescue #shelteranimals #shelterdog #rescueanimal #rescueanimals #rescuedog #petadoption #pilot #pilots #aviation #adoptdontshop #dogsoflinkedin #adoptadog
