They laughed, they cried, they clicked: My experience with guerilla marketing gone wild Hey marketing fam, Let's talk about taking a chance! I recently spearheaded a campaign for a new line of organic pet shampoo. We were a small brand with a limited budget, so forget fancy TV ads or influencer deals. We needed to get creative. So, we hatched this plan to target dog parks. We hired a bunch of energetic actors dressed as...squirrels! They'd romp around the park with signs like "Get me outta here! This itch is nuts!" Let me tell you, the dog owners got a kick out of it. The confused pups? Not so much. We filmed the whole thing, of course, and posted it on social media with the hashtag #SaveOurPaws. It went CRAZY viral. People were laughing, commenting, and tagging their friends. Next thing we knew, news outlets were picking up the story. **Results?** We sold out of shampoo in a week, and even landed a deal with a major pet store chain. Moral of the story: a little guerilla marketing and a whole lot of silliness can go a long way. We need to understand Instagram influencer marketing. We did collabs with Pet influencers however the conversion rate was not as expected.. influencers had around 15 k followers and mostly did barter collabs for the product. We want to understand how many followers should be we look for and what other factors should we consider (apart from payment terms) while choosing a good influencer for product promotion.
