A Call to Women in Tech: It's time to take back your power and run toward what you truly desire. Did you know that over 50% of women leave the tech industry by the age of 35? I've made it my mission to change that. On a recent podcast I was on, the host asked me about my career path and how my decision to leave my corporate role might be seen as contributing to that statistic. But here's what I shared: I wasn't running away; I was running toward something--my passion for coaching women to thrive in this industry. Far too often, I see women running away from tech--fleeing burnout, microaggressions, or the feeling of not being seen or respected. I understand it because I've been there. After leaving Apple in 2018, I almost left tech too, driven by burnout and a heavy dose of impostor syndrome. But here's the truth: when we run away, we give up our power. My goal is to help women reclaim their power and shift from running away to running toward what they truly want. So, ask yourself: Are you running away from a situation that doesn't serve you? Instead, how can you start running toward what you truly desire? ------------------------ I'm Jossie, and I empower women in tech to architect careers they love and get the promotions and rewards they deserve. ♻️ If this post resonated with you, feel free to share it with your network! 🤝 For more resources to help you thrive in tech, join my newsletter by clicking the link under my name.

#Day3 <#ExploringTechandEmbracingtheSuperpowerofWomen When I first started exploring everything about tech, I was drawn by the sheer possibilities—the ability to build, innovate, and solve problems that could change lives. But along the way, I discovered something even more powerful: the incredible women in this field who continue to break barriers, redefine norms, and inspire others like me. Women have been my superpower in this journey. From the trailblazers who opened doors in spaces where none existed to the peers and mentors who share their knowledge and cheer each other on, I’ve found a deep well of inspiration and strength in their stories and support. Every time I face a challenge, I think about the countless women in tech who have overcome obstacles to pave the way for us. Their resilience, brilliance, and passion remind me why I chose this path and keep me going, even when the road gets tough. As a woman in tech, I draw my strength from this community and the knowledge that our collective contributions make the industry stronger and more inclusive. We are innovators, collaborators, and changemakers, proving every day that there is no limit to what we can achieve. To every woman out there considering a career in tech or navigating it now: you are not alone. There’s a network of incredible women cheering for you, and your journey matters. Does you get nervous just before delivering a talk/presentation? Yesterday I was delivering a You & Your Brand talk to the Women In Tech community. But in the few seconds before, I got really nervous 😬. A few minutes in, and I back to my normal self! ( that pesky little voice went and sulked in the corner that I was not listening 🙉) We covered what is a personal brand, why you should have one. How to use it and where. We touched on how to develop your mindset and confidence and be your authentic self online and offline. We went through how to fully optimise your LinkedIn profile to attract new opportunities and walked through a live audit of what can be updated. Does anyone else get that pesky voice trying it on?

Hello! I've just updated the She Techs page to reflect the new direction - coaching for women in tech. Empowering Women in Tech to build confidence, rediscover their identity, and thrive in their careers. While this is aimed at women, all genders are welcome. Whether you’re navigating self-doubt, feeling out of place, or looking to grow into a role that feels like you, I’m here to help. 💡“𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮’𝐯𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡?” This question has been on my heart lately as I’ve reflected on the words shaping my journey. Some advice has felt like a warm hug on tough days, while others have been a steady light when the path felt uncertain. Each piece of advice has shaped me in unique ways, reminding me of the power of persistence, vulnerability, and belonging. Here are three that have stayed with me: 1️⃣“𝘞𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩, 𝘴𝘰 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘩.” This is a reminder that the challenges we face aren’t just for us, they’re paving the way for others to follow. Representation matters, and every step we take forward not only opens doors for others but also enriches the industry with fresh perspectives and solutions. 2️⃣ “𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘨𝘨𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴.” Celebrating wins is easy, but sharing struggles takes courage. Yet, it’s often in those vulnerable moments that real connections are formed and others find inspiration to keep going. We’re not alone in this journey - we’re in it together. 3️⃣ “𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦.” Sometimes, those three words are all it takes to feel grounded. They remind me that our voices, skills, and perspectives are not only valid but deeply needed in this space. To every woman pursuing a path in tech: 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞, 𝐭𝐨𝐨. Whether you’re just starting out or years into your career, your journey matters. Let’s keep celebrating one another, sharing the highs and lows, and creating space for others to join us. The world of tech needs more of us, and together, we can make a difference. 🌟 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡—𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡, 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐫, 𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞? I’d love to hear your thoughts and stories! 💬 #WomenInTech #RepresentationMatters #CareerAdvice #TechCommunity

In 2022, I participated in the first edition of the Women in Tech program. Back then, I had only a glimpse of what was ahead of me on this startup journey. Starting a business is no easy task, let alone developing software designed to help organizations measure their impact. But I knew it was worth it – creating a tool that saves time and resources, allowing organizations to focus on their essential work, while simplifying reporting. Reporting is crucial, but without the right data and information in one place, it can often be a lengthy and challenging process. Today, I have some exciting news – we have already been helping organizations to design their impact strategies. So if you know you want to understand and measure the impact of your work but don’t know where to start, reach out. We’ll guide you through consultations and workshops to make it happen. 🌍💡 And a huge thank you to Linda Stucbartova for driving us forward with Women in Tech! Our community is growing, and it’s amazing to connect, collaborate, and build something meaningful together. 💪👩💻 #WomenInTech #Impact #Impactso

👩💻The book presentation with Alana Karen was fantastic! (info about the BOOK CLUB below) It was great to meet almost 40 amazing #WomenInTech from so many different countries and cultures Once again, I saw that no matter where you're from, many of us face similar challenges Alana is a real rock star! After the book talk, we had a Q&A session, and everyone asked such deep and thought-provoking questions. We talked about: 👩💻How can women feel confident in tech jobs even if they feel like they don’t meet all the requirements? 👩💻What’s the benefit of focusing on 'women in tech'? 👩💻How can you balance your own career goals with your company’s needs? 👩💻What are good ways to find support as you move up in your career? 👩💻Is it harder to start your own tech company or to become a leader at a big tech company? We had a great time, thanks to Alana and all the participants. Together, we created a very supportive and safe space __ PS 📚 We're starting a BOOK CLUB to read Alana's book together. It begins this Monday (April 15th). If you want to join, just comment below or send me a direct message for more details!
