𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧, 𝐈 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐂𝐈 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤!
I am a month into my summer internship at 𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐂𝐈 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤'𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 and it's been an incredible learning experience! The supportive environment and talented team have made this a truly enriching journey.
I am sincerely grateful to my amazing 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 Ravi Jhavar 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫 Nikhil Dinani, CMT, for their invaluable guidance. Their insights and mentorship have been instrumental in navigating the complexities of the project. I'm also grateful for the ongoing support from Abhijeet Awasthi and 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐒𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐤𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 who've always been there to answer questions and share their expertise.
Thank you to the IIM Sirmaur Placement Committee for connecting me with this fantastic opportunity at ICICI Bank.
One of the biggest takeaways from this month has been the 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠. Devouring industry reports, analyzing market trends, and understanding the finer nuances of the financial landscape – it's all been an eye-opening experience.
The project has allowed me to delve into the intricacies of 𝐧𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐟𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 with distinct regulatory environments. It's been fascinating to see how seemingly disparate factors, like infrastructure development projects, international sanctions, etc., can influence the feasibility and direction of these trade flows.
𝐀𝐝𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐢'𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟. Finding a comfortable place to stay initially presented a challenge, but the city's infectious spirit quickly made me feel welcome. The constant hum of activity can sometimes be overwhelming, especially with the city's distinct humidity. However, there's a unique sense of peace at the beaches, where the sound of the waves washes away the day's hustle.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐂𝐈 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐤'𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤-𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞. Despite demanding projects, the friendly team and supportive culture ensure I don't feel overwhelmed. The team is incredibly helpful and friendly, always willing to lend a hand or share a laugh. It creates a genuinely positive and collaborative work environment.
Here's to a productive and exciting second month!

Exploring New Opportunities
In pursuit of professional growth and impactful endeavors, I made a strategic decision to contribute to RBC’s acquisition of HSBC, opting to leave my full-time position for a contract role pivotal to this historic transaction. The experience was a dynamic blend of rapid decision-making, intricate challenges, and unparalleled engagement.
Now, with the successful completion of the data conversion phase, I am poised to channel my expertise and energy into fresh opportunities within project management, strategy, digital transformation, or product development. Leveraging my background and skills, I am eager to connect with potential collaborators and stakeholders in my network.
Recognized for my commitment to continuous learning and adaptability, I approach each endeavor with a fervent dedication to excellence. My goal is to contribute value and drive innovation in any role I undertake.
Grateful for your support and excited for the possibilities ahead. Let’s connect and explore how we can mutually benefit from collaboration.
Thank you!

Alert: Professional and Personal together
Met this energetic group of interns for our global delivery services org. Belonging Equity and Impact meant to them as an ecosystem of growth, association and acceptance, business imperative...Those smiles were after 90 min of session that they rated as 4.8 !
My personal journey started at 21 and on the move to Mumbai, the city of dreams! Reminiscing about the best advice I received from my master coach: 'Erase titles like sir and madam; address people by their names and get to know the real person behind them.' It was truly transformative guidance that has shaped my approach to connecting with others.
Taking a stroll down the memory lane! What's the best advice you received in your early years that shaped your career today?
HERE'S a picture of my first full-time job location after graduating.
No, it wasn't a Dan Murphy's outlet back then.
It was the Balwyn branch of ANZ.
Being selected for the ANZ graduate program meant a six-month initial placement in a branch.
Times change, business models change, the way we work changes.
But we all remember our first graduate role or first full-time role.

“If we expect people to live the core values of an organization, we have to be able to tell them what those values look like in action.”

Team SimuRise had the opportunity to conduct their flagship business simulation, "The Quest for King Solomon's Mines," for 53 management interns of HSBC India, one of the biggest names in financial services, to help them develop organizational values. This simulation was not just any game, but a chance for the interns to learn and grow important skills needed to make the transition from campus to a corporate environment.
Throughout the game, the key values of HSBC were woven into every part of the simulation, with a focus on getting things done, taking responsibility, valuing different perspectives, and succeeding as a team. This ensured that the interns could see and practice these values in action, and learn how they help deal with real-life challenges.
By the end of the simulation, it was clear that the interns had not only learned these values but also felt confident about using them. The simulation helped them understand how important it is to act decisively, be responsible, respect and celebrate differences, and achieve goals together. The real-life stories they heard and narrated reinforced these lessons.
