I'm thinking I should stop calling myself a "creator". I'd love your input 👇👇 As Dante Media grows, that label works less and less. My thoughts: 🔵 It's not me creating the content on Love and London anymore or for Love and Paris. So really, we're a media brand now and I'm heavily influenced by what the founders of brands like Betches Media and Mob are doing and have done, not other creators who don't have teams and won't ever be able to sell their businesses. 🔵 The label "creator" or "influencer" generally means less respect from outside the creator industry, embarrassingly low fees suggested for a TON of work (if there's money at ALL), and unpaid speaking opportunities. Media brand? I've noticed it's much different. It's actually seen as a business (even though creators are businesses too). 🔵 I'm increasingly feeling like creators are not the ones getting rich in this industry, it's instead the influencer/PR agencies, brands and creator products that are. I don't want to be a part of that as that's not fair and can be exploitative. Yes, it's true. Sometimes part of the job is working with nightmare creators. You know the type. The ones who can't meet deadlines, send incomplete deliverables, reply to emails 48 hours later, or just flat-out completely misunderstood the objective. Fortunately, we don't have and creator partners like this, but our work sometimes brings us close to creators who we don't have on our roster (generally when working on brand contracts). How do we handle it? We first try to avoid it. Before engaging, we'll set out expectations in a crystal-clear fashion. There is no doubt about what is expected. But still, some creators do struggle with meeting the demands or just aren't serious about it. If it can't be avoided, we'll identify the problem and offer to help the creator with it. Need a thumbnail artist? No problem. Need a hand getting the final deliverable edited and shipped? Sure, we'll get someone to help you out. When you're in a tricky sitation, you have to make the best of it. Yes, dealing with a creator that's not prompt is an inconvenience (and stressful), but what can you do about it now? We find solutions. We don't get upset, we don't complain. We fix the problem. #problemsolving #work #influencers

I went viral! No I didn’t but you should see your faces 😂 niche ref - IYKYK. I DID have a whopper of a week (for me) and it was the SAME piece of content across all channels. 🎸 My exhaustive tour of Taylor Swift’s London related content was nicely rounding off with a few wins here and there 💃🏼 On Weds last week I spotted the new Swiftie Steps artwork at Wembley! I was chatting with ⏰ Abigail Barnes - It's Your Time who lives in the area and decided to have a coffee date on Friday morning to see them 🎤 This video exploded. It’s different from my usual content. I usually favour montages but this is chronological with a voice over. And dare I say it, quicker to do. 🎶Views on this ONE video currently =  Insta 47k,  TikTok 34k,  YouTube Shorts 11k.  That’s my highest numbers on each platform ever. To give you an idea, my second highest is 16k on Insta. Obviously there’s a lot to unpack.  1 - it was v timely and relevant with Taylor playing her first London show on Friday. 2- I included exact location of the steps and posing ideas 3 - I was wearing a very OTT outfit for 9am on a Friday morning. These conditions are hard to replicate. So I fear for next week’s numbers 😂 and also because my account is not solely based on Taylor content, I haven’t picked up as many followers as I’d have liked. BUT I can incorporate more voice over videos going forward. ____ I didn’t share this content on LinkedIn as I wasn’t sure you’d care but I regret that now as it would have been a handy test. So it is attached (minus Taylor Swift backing track) for you to see. As an aside these posts take a long time to write. If they are of value please like or let me know in comments. If it’s tumbleweed, I’ll scale it back, no one needs more unhelpful cr*p on the internet! ____ By platform for last week: 🎠 Instagram 5,667 same followers 🎠 = top video Swiftie Steps 📍 Pinterest monthly views 30,100 - Up 21% impressions, 74% engagements, 33% outbound clicks, 180% saves, 21% total audience  = top board was Taylor Swift content 📽️ YouTube 112 followers from 100 - up 405% in views = top video Swiftie Steps 🔗 LinkedIn 2252 from 2241 🔗 Up 54% impressions, up 0.8% followers = top post my Taylor Swift blog post collage 🎵TikTok 287 follower from 267, up 33000 on post views, up 3743 likes = top video Swiftie Steps 🧵 1323 from 1318 followers 🧵 up 5 followers. Finally connected my Instagram to Threads so at least I am posting now. Using a phone? nope... regardless of what is said about not posting high quality content on Tiktok, this was filmed with a professional camera. If you have a clear brand message and create content people actually WANT to see, people WILL like it. CRAZY RIGHT!!! Social Clothing is all around spreading a positive message, so what did we do?
