I love it when an event comes together naturally. I happened to be talking to Ellen Wagner and Annelie Wambeek a few weeks ago, when we realised that our topic needed to have a wider audience so more people could participate. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) is at a critical juncture. Critics dismiss it as a check-box exercise that undermines real business and societal progress. On the other hand, DEIB champions continue to fight to validate it as beyond a feel-good factor—proving it as a catalyst for organizational and societal transformation.
