As future interest rate expectation has begun to ease, the negative pressure on UK fund redemptions have also eased. The flow of investor money in and out of different fund types is a critical metric we have studied for years and builds us a detailed picture of where capital is flowing and thus which funds are more likely to “buy”. We have seen positive inflows in three fund mandates: Small/Mid Cap, Index and ESG recently, reflecting improved UK sentiment and where companies should focus investor targeting efforts. #ukequities #listedcompanies #funds

Morningstar #FundRadar: The start of 2024 has unfurled a rather promising chapter for #global #highyield #bonds. While the allure of hefty initial yields continues to draw the investor's gaze, the relatively narrow spreads hint at an underestimation of the lurking credit risks. According to the latest Morningstar Global High Yield Bond index, this segment enjoyed a robust return of 3.3% in the first quarter alone. Outperforming this metric, the average fund within Morningstar’s global high-yield category pushed even higher to 3.6%. This performance is notably strong, considering the annual average returns of these funds hovered around 3.8% and 5.4% over the last five and ten years, respectively.
