🌍Personal Travel Consultant helping you to experience an amazing value for money holiday with a dedicated service from start to finish. From Worldwide to Family Holidays; Skiing to Honeymoons; Beaches to Safaris & more!
There is plenty of noise surrounding over-tourism and the effect this is having on certain destinations and their local communities. There is an easy solution to this: go somewhere else - it’s a big planet! Here are 3 lesser visited suggestions for a country, a region and a city. 🇨🇱CHILE: Ideal for those who like the outdoors, you can see glaciers in national parks (eg Torres del Paine), vineyards in Casablanca (not that one) and dark skies above the very dry Atacama Desert. Get There: Heathrow to Santiago, 4x weekly non stoppers taking 14h. 🇪🇸 PAÍS VASCO: The Basque region of northern Spain has spectacular beaches (like a warmer Cornwall), a vibrant arts scene and an unrivalled food scene. Bilbao has more Michelin starred restaurants per km2 in the world. Get There: Fly to Bilbao or Santander. Or take the ferry from Portsmouth. 🇨🇦 MONTREAL: Often left in the shadow of other cities in Canada, the largest city in Québec has a lively vibe to it with a French twist. Festivals, food and nightlife year around and winter skiing 90 minutes away in Mt Tremblant. Get There: 4 daily flights from London taking under 8h (similar to New York) When it comes to travel, don’t be a follower, go somewhere different. You’ll be glad you did. Just don’t tell everyone else! #exploremore #whereyourjourneybegins

In an age of rampant overtourism in cities like Barcelona, this VisitOSLO ad stands out for its sheer lack of excitement. A 31-year-old local takes us around, nonchalantly showing us "boring" Oslo. It's genius! Instead of hopping from one crowded bar to another, or showcasing sunkissed beaches or nature, we see locals swimming in the middle of the city and there being no queues to get into restaurants. It's very refreshing to see just a "normal" city from the eyes of a local, who ends by saying, "Oslo should play hard to get!". The counter-narrative is so strong that it can be used by other destinations looking to stand out vs busier, more popular destinations. Imagine if the following cities did a similar campaign: Brunei Darussalam vs Singapore Panama City vs Cancun Faro vs Ibiza Phillip Island vs Melbourne Halifax vs Toronto Jeddah vs Dubai The list goes on. I found the ad inspiring, having never been to Oslo. What about you? cc Rodney Payne #marketing #travel #brand

Planning a trip to France can be exciting as the country offers a diverse range of attractions, from its iconic landmarks and world-class museums to picturesque countryside and renowned cuisine. Here's a brief overview to help you get started: Destinations: Paris: The capital city known for the Eiffel Tower, Louvre Museum, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and vibrant neighborhoods like Montmartre and Le Marais. French Riviera: Visit cities like Nice, Cannes, and Saint-Tropez for beautiful beaches, luxury resorts, and Mediterranean charm. Provence: Explore charming villages, lavender fields, and the cities of Aix-en-Provence and Avignon. Loire Valley: Known for its stunning châteaux like Château de Chambord and Château de Chenonceau. Alsace: Experience a blend of French and German cultures with picturesque villages like Colmar and Strasbourg. Activities: Cultural Sites: Visit museums, art galleries, and historical landmarks. Wine Tours: Explore the renowned vineyards of Bordeaux, Burgundy, or Champagne. Culinary Adventures: Indulge in French cuisine, attend a cooking class, or visit local markets. Outdoor Activities: Enjoy hiking in the Alps, cycling in the countryside, or sailing along the coast. Travel Tips: Weather: France experiences four distinct seasons, with summers (June to August) being peak tourist season. Transportation: The country has an extensive rail network (SNCF) that makes it easy to travel between cities. Renting a car can be a good option for exploring rural areas. Language: While French is the official language, many people in tourist areas speak English. Currency: The currency used is the Euro (€). Cultural Etiquette: Greetings: A handshake is the most common form of greeting. Use titles like "Monsieur" (Mr.), "Madame" (Mrs.), or "Mademoiselle" (Miss) when addressing someone. Dining: Wait for the host to indicate where to sit. Keep your hands on the table, not in your lap, during meals. Tipping: A service charge is often included in restaurants, but it's customary to leave a small tip for good service. #france #francevisa #francetourisme #francevillage #francevisit #francebusinessvisa #francevisaagent #francevisaagentnearme

🚢 The final stop on our business trip before returning to Venice will be Split. We last visited Croatia 2 years ago, when we drove from Split down to Dubrovnik across the new Peljesac Bridge. 🌄 The scenery is breathtaking; the food is fabulous and everything was pretty cheap as I recall. 🍷 We are looking forward to returning. 🎤On board, I shall no doubt be partaking in a spot of Karaoke and seeking out the piano man… 🎹 #businesstrip #split #croatia #neumcorridor #cruiselife #singing #personaldevelopment #lifecoaching #exploremore #travelandgrow #rowantreegrowth #flexibleworking #wealthcreation #onlinebusiness #onlinebusinessopportunity #travelgoals #digitalnomad #growthmindset #travelgram #wanderlust
