Here are 3 lesser visited suggestions for a country, a region and a city. 🇨🇱CHILE: Ideal for those who like the outdoors, you can see glaciers in national parks (eg Torres del Paine), vineyards in Casablanca (not that one) and dark skies above the very dry Atacama Desert. Get There: Heathrow to Santiago, 4x weekly non stoppers taking 14h. 🇪🇸 PAÍS VASCO: The Basque region of northern Spain has spectacular beaches (like a warmer Cornwall), a vibrant arts scene and an unrivalled food scene. Bilbao has more Michelin starred restaurants per km2 in the world. Get There: Fly to Bilbao or Santander. Or take the ferry from Portsmouth. 🇨🇦 MONTREAL: Often left in the shadow of other cities in Canada, the largest city in Québec has a lively vibe to it with a French twist. Festivals, food and nightlife year around and winter skiing 90 minutes away in Mt Tremblant. Get There: 4 daily flights from London taking under 8h (similar to New York) When it comes to travel, don’t be a follower, go somewhere different. You’ll be glad you did. It's genius! Instead of hopping from one crowded bar to another, or showcasing sunkissed beaches or nature, we see locals swimming in the middle of the city and there being no queues to get into restaurants. It's very refreshing to see just a "normal" city from the eyes of a local, who ends by saying, "Oslo should play hard to get!". The counter-narrative is so strong that it can be used by other destinations looking to stand out vs busier, more popular destinations.
