-- MY HSE SPECIALIST ROLE: A PROFESSIONAL INSIGHT -- This job constantly evolves based on the needs and expectations of the company. It offers a diverse range of areas to explore, making it an ideal field for those who prefer to avoid a full day of office work. Professionals in this field enjoy significant autonomy, engaging in a multidisciplinary role encompassing legal aspects, standards, on-site studies, training, communication, and technical aspects. This allows them to operate at all levels of the company and in various departments. -- ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -- This profession demands a high level of adaptability to the company's context where the HSE specialist operates. The duties of the HSE animator and supervisor, though diverse, may not always be fully understood by all personnel. Hence, the importance of continuous and well-structured communication. The impact of this profession often relies on the determination of the site manager, who plays a crucial role in the process and may or may not provide the necessary resources.

Group HSE Coordinator . NEBOSH certified HSE professional - Manufacturing, Engineering & Construction.
Some time ago l joined a construction project team as a site HSE officer and l faced a challenge that appeared insurmountable. The construction site had experienced a string of safety incidents, and morale among the workers was very low. l knew that something had to change, and l was determined to make a difference. I began by conducting thorough analysis of the site safety protocols and discovered that many procedures were outdated, and there was lack of communication between management and workers. I took action and with the support of my team, l implemented a comprehensive safety training program, updated policies, and procedures, and established an effective communication channel between workers and management. l implemented hazard identification and reporting procedures and introduced means of reporting hazard. within few months, the workers were actively engaged in maintaining a safe work environment and the number of incident significantly decreased. #HR #Oilandgas #Construction #Manufacturing #Safety

Health & Safety | Security Management | Risk Management | Environmental Management | Facility Management| Quality Management|SAMTRAC| PSIRA
Let’s have a conversation about job titles- do they matter to you? Or what matters is the responsibility that comes with it? For instance you can be responsible for the province and still be called HSE Officer, while someone with the very same job and responsibilities be called regional HSE Officer?

Project HSE Administrator I HSE Data Analyst l Nebosh IGC I MBA I Al Kharsaah 800.15 Mwp Solar IPP Project, Qatar.
I once attended an interview for an HSE Administrator role, and after going through the usual questions, one of the interviewers asked me how I handle work pressure, especially when dealing with subcontractors and contractors. I gave the expected answer – that I’d prioritize tasks – but then she asked how exactly I’d prioritize them under pressure. So, I basically repeated the same thing, throwing in some words like 'time management' and 'work scheduling' to sound impressive. The interview went fine, and I left feeling good about it. Now, when I think back on that moment, I realize that work pressure, especially in HSE administration, is just part of the job. It’s not something you can always 'handle.' You can either let the pressure show or try to hide it, but it’s there regardless. When you’re juggling multiple tasks and reporting to different people with different priorities, it’s less about handling the pressure and more about pushing through and getting things done. 🙂

Iam Bachelor of Arts +NEBOSh+IOSH and Advance Diploma in Occupational Health and safety management.I have 5+ Years of Experience in Safety Management.
Why I found HSE is a very interesting & responsible profession that has been overlooked by the public and private sectors for so long. As a HSE Officer; 1. Without being a qualified doctor, we treat first aid injuries. 2. Without being a qualified technical engineer we do/advice multiple engineering (Thats why HSE is called, "Mother of all Engineering") 3. Without being qualified for an MBA, we are concerned about management 4. Without being an artist, we perform in every morning show which is called a tool box talk meeting. 5. Without being a qualified writer, we write poems and draw up safety posters. 6. Without being a qualified social worker, we do social work (like arranging resting shelters, smoking areas and drinking water facilities). 7. The main thing is, we give all our best covered to all departments of science, Environment, commercial, Human Resources, Administration, arts and management. 8. We do this hard work and want everyone to go home safely to their families. Proud to be a HSE professional.💪
