I need to stop overthinking what I'm doing, and focus on fixing it.   🧠The biggest lesson I’ve learned from my job:   I take every situation and learn from it. My worst experience was being left alone on a job with nothing more than phone support. It was very nerve-wracking and frustrating. I learned to stop, breathe, take a break, walk away, relax, and get back at it without overthinking the job. Over time, things came together, and the issues started to resolve themselves, allowing us to deal with them effectively. In the end, we emerged victorious.   🔧In my opinion, to find oneself in this role, one should be/need to like…:   I find myself in this role, and it's worth being in. I've been in maintenance for almost 40 years, serving as a lead, a supervisor, overseeing departments, and managing jobs and projects. I can't see myself doing anything else—I love my job too much; unless, of course, I retire and make cheesecake while traveling.   #WorkLike #TogetherWeGainAdvantages

Here's a little photodump, from several years back. It's not always a big machine hall, that welcomes you in +30 degrees, during the winter. Sometimes it's dragging all your stuff up a cage ladder, with ice and snow all around. Sometimes it's a repair job in a minus -45 degree storage cell. Sometimes the complete opposite, big maintenance during summer, in a machineroom where it's +50 degrees. Not always big machines and the latest tech, is what you encounter. Sometimes older and smaller machinery. But the diversity of the job, and helping customers, is what keeps me running. Even an outdated machine, like the one below is fun to repair. One of the biggest challenges of being a plant assessor is trying to communicate the risk of an issue you've found that is not documented on the checklist you're following and why it needs to be repaired before it is allowed to work. Anytime there is an issue with brakes or vehicles rolling away, I think its fair to agree for anyone they need to be repaired before commencing work.   Getting the time to explain an issue, like as has been done in the video below is rare but valuable.
