Britain’s biggest winemaker Chapel Down Group, which in September abandoned a planned sale after warning over a poor harvest and declining sales, has hired James Pennefather as its new chief executive. Inghams Group Limited has appointed a new CEO 👏 Australia and New Zealand’s largest integrated poultry producer has appointed Edward Alexander as the new Chief Executive Officer! Alexander has been working with the Inghams Group for nearly a decade, prior to him taking on this role he served as Chief Strategy Officer. His previous work experience consisted of Aon Risk Solutions, Terrick Terrick Cattle Stud, and was a Paralegal at Edmund Barton Chambers. It's not just the £5.6bn exports that whisky contributes to the economy, it is all the related economic activity that amounts to so much more. - new distilleries starting up, many in remote locations - the need for intellectual property as new markets emerge - the focus on environmental sustainability - likelihood of consolidation as start up distilleries struggle for funding and are taken over by more established, better capitalised companies - the recent boom in whisky investment has created a whole new category with disputes leading to plenty of litigation work The whisky industry impacts not just the whole supply chain and distribution network, but a whole raft of legal and financial employment too.
