📣 Last month, the European Roundtable for Beef Sustainability (ERBS) hosted their annual event in Poznan, Poland where members and partners came together to collaborate and share knowledge to help drive positive sustainability progress in the European beef industry.
Some key highlights from the event:
🎯 2 days of collaboration
🎯 57 attendees from 28 companies across 10 European countries
🎯 24 expert speakers covered a range of perspectives including farmer, science, financial, policy and business and 6 European Platforms presented on their successes, opportunities/challenges and future plans.
🎯 2 farm visits to OSI McDonald’s flagship farm and ABP trial farm
🎯 1 film premier of World Without Cows , a Planet of Plenty® production by Alltech
🎯 3 panel discussions focused on:
- Progress on GHG also relies on making progress on nature topics such as biodiversity
- Taking a whole value chain approach is the way to accelerate progress on GHG action
- Reaction to the World Without Cows film
🤝 Throughout the event, 3 words were echoed “Communication. Motivation. Collaboration.” Through engaging discussions, it became evident that organisations across the European beef industry are facing shared challenges and effective communication ensuring the entire value chain is motivated and working together is the key to solving them.
