I’m particularly proud of our work on Waterloo Road, Northumberland, which was our first complete bespoke project in 2022. Being involved from inception to completion was incredibly fulfilling. It was rewarding to see our solutions installed and operational within just 45 minutes, bypassing traditional, time-consuming methods like excavation and backfilling. 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘀? When I'm not at work, I enjoy walking my dog, Bob, and staying active at the gym. 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿? Early in my career, I was advised always to remember before presentations that I knew the most about our products in the room. Coming from a background in internal sales and recruitment, this advice was pivotal in boosting my confidence when presenting to engineers and industry professionals. 𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆? I’m happy to share that I have started a new position as a trusted Commercial Real Estate Advisor at SVR Commercial, LLC! I recently obtained my Florida Real Estate Sales Associate licensure and am energized to join the SVR Team. Here I will specialize in office space leasing and sales. Some may recall that I mentioned the sale of my flooring business last year. Since then, I took the time to assess what do I truly desire to do now? Not just from a career perspective. But how do I envision my life going forward? The phrase ‘flexibility with new growth’ settled in my thoughts. Embracing strategic stretch goals and challenges outside of my comfort zone became a heightened normalcy for me. This was particularly relevant when I owned a flooring company. How does this align to real estate? Well, I definitely represent the zig zag and not the straight-line path to my goals. While owning a flooring company, I pivoted my business model to 60/40 business to business (B2B) and commercial sales vs. residential. This was painful at times, yet the pivot sustained my company through the Covid-19 pandemic and yielded some of our highest grossing years. The development of B2B relationships, executing commercial space projects, complex contracts and scrutinized budgets is what I enjoyed most. Therein lies the early seeds - and I am forever grateful to the customers, tradesman, and business associates during that time. Little did I know – those seeds of experience, that piggy backed off a corporate career in Vendor Relationship Management was the preparation for now.
