New Post: Newly announced ‘Ghost Of Tsushima’ sequel ‘Ghost Of Yōtei’ divides fans - https://lnkd.in/g9i5Wbki - Sony has confirmed a sequel to Ghost Of Tsushima, with the newly announced Ghost Of Yōtei already dividing fans. READ MORE: How ‘Rise Of The Ronin’ tackles historical accuracy in 19th century Japan Ghost Of Tsushima was first released in 2020 and saw players take on the role of Jin Sakai, the last samurai, as he fights for the freedom of Japan. Newly announced sequel Ghost Of Yōtei is set in a new time period and focuses on new protagonist Atsu. “When we set out to make a new Ghost game, we wanted to maintain the core pillars established in Ghost of Tsushima: playing as a wandering warrior in Feudal Japan, offering freedom to explore at your own pace, and highlighting the beauty of the world. We also wanted to continue to innovate,” explained Sony in a new blog. “To create something fresh but familiar, we looked beyond Jin Sakai’s story and the island of Tsushima,” they continued. Specific plot details are still being kept under wraps but Sony did confirm that Atsu’s journey takes place in 1603, more than 300 years after the events of Ghost of Tsushima. “Our story is set in the lands surrounding Mount Yōtei, a towering peak in the heart of Ezo, an area of Japan known as Hokkaido in present day. In 1603, this area was outside the rule of Japan, and filled with sprawling grasslands, snowy tundras, and unexpected dangers. It’s a far cry from the organised samurai clans who lived in Tsushima, and it’s the setting for an original story we can’t wait to tell,” Sony wrote. I’ve dreamed of this my entire life. But I still can’t believe I’m part of art like this. I am the Ghost of Yōtei. https://t.co/W07Sy1jKEW — Erika Ishii (@erikaishii) September 24, 2024 Ghost Of Yōtei is due for release at some point in 2025 for PlayStation 5. However some fans aren’t happy that Jin has been killed off and replaced by Atsu, despite the time jump between the games “Female samurai? I don’t think so,” wrote one X user. “Ghost of Tsushima sequel stars a Japanese woman samurai warrior because of course it does. They can’t help themselves until every franchise that was built on masculinity is replaced by women. So sick of the forced girlboss narrative man,” said another. “Could be woke, could be not,” wrote a third. Responding to the backlash one fan said, “Can’t wait for people to pull out some ancient scripture to prove that women didn’t ride horses back then,” with another adding: I’d hate to be like this and never enjoy stuff because women exist as lead characters.” Earlier this year, Ubisoft received backlash for a “cowardly” apology after a vocal minority of fans took issue with Assassin’s Creed Shadows protagonist Yasuke, named after a historical figure known as “the black samura

How Does A Wristband Lightshow Work? Have you ever wondered – how wristband light shows work – keeping in tune with the music, and all in sync. Solution = DMX Technology ✅ DMX lighting is a type of digital lighting control. DMX stands for Digital Multiplex and is a system that allows multiple fixtures to be affected by a single controller. DMX lighting uses a data signal to precisely control the intensity, colour, and other parameters of LED lights. That makes DMX-controlled lighting versatile. You can create any look you want and be entirely in control of your lighting. This is linked with each individual wristband, to enable a memorable experience for all the concertgoers. Here is an interesting article on this technology which was used over the weekend during Coldplay's performances in Croke Park: https://lnkd.in/e_BYu_ff #DMXTechnology #LED #Concerts #LiveLightShow #Coldplay #CrokePark

I am always so touched and impressed by the involved and inspiring influence Jack Wenzinger has in the way his two boys gain a highly professional outlook for skill development, networking, personality development, and always working on self-improvement. The amount of work Gunnison Wenzinger and Geddy Wenzinger have invested in the past few years to gain certifications in a diverse area of explorations that all tie together in the evolving fields of game development, virtual production, and artificial intelligence is astounding. Hats off to team Wenzinger! I am a fan. #virtuallearning #certification #achieveyourgoals #selfimprovement #careergoals #education #virtualproduction #artificialintelligence #gamedevelopment #unrealengine #epicgames #aritst #technician #aws #cloudarchitecture
Update on #homeschoolcollege. My youngest Gunnison has been working to support a local Rush tribute band Rush Archives here in Colorado. Most bands have a similar AV guy that's using a laptop and winging it in the dark. He's modified his setup to use a Wacom Cintiq with Vmix to use it as a portable broadcast board. He's also using using Epic Games, Blackmagic Design, and generative AI to create new visuals for the music. Great stuff!

Back in the day, Hotel Costes and Cafe del Mar proved how valuable music can be as a brand pillar. Music is more effective, flexible, and affordable than many other elements of the sensorial guest experience (interior design, lighting, F&B consultants, scent, et cetera). And today, it's far, far easier for hotels to utilize music thoughtfully, yet few do it well. As Hospitality Daily mentions, hotels are a natural platform for culture, benefitting both the brand and guests. So why do so few hotels have fantastic music? Like, multiple shazaams per visit good?
Music has long been a part of games, but artists—from Gen X stalwart Metallica and pop star Lady Gaga to rapper Big Sean and indie act Weyes Blood—have been doubling down on the medium in recent years, taking advantage of modern tactics for reaching the industry’s massive youth-oriented user base. Artists are signing deals with game companies to debut new songs through interactive events and as background music for games themselves, in some cases weeks before those tracks are released on the likes of Spotify. Artists are also selling virtual goods featuring their likenesses and music for players’ avatars, and they are hiring developers to build persistent in-game worlds where their tunes—new and old—can be heard around the clock. Many are gamers themselves, parents of gamers or both. My latest story, with Anne Steele, for the The Wall Street Journal
