Good news to start off the New Year: SILPURAN® 2114 has the potential to save money when it comes to the production of wound dressings. This silicone gel adhesive opens up new applications in #woundcare. Our study on the wear time of skin adhesives has been published in the “Jahrbuch 2025 Dichten. Kleben. Polymer” of ISGATEC GmbH . Here are the key findings: ➡️ 90 percent adhesion to the skin even after 7 days of wear. (foam dressings coated with SILPURAN® 2114) ➡️ The adhesion level is thus higher by more than a quarter. (compared to SILPURAN® 2100) ➡️ Wound dressings can be removed painlessly, without residue. ➡️ The higher adhesive strength of SILPURAN® 2114 allows for thinner coatings. ➡️ This has the potential to save production costs. ➡️ It opens up new possible applications.
