Today it is international mentoring day. I experienced, having a mentor can be a great source of inspiration reflecting on your path. This, I only experienced later in my career. For this reason, I am myself active as a mentor for many years, within and outside our company. These conversations offer apart from hopefully value for the mentee, great reflection for myself too. #mentoring #beiersdorf

In January, we reflected on the power of mentorship and its impact on professional growth within the #WEN community. We recently asked our chapters to share about their mentoring programs, and the responses were inspiring! From personal stories to impactful quotes, it’s clear that mentoring has been a cornerstone of empowerment and success for so many women in energy. "As someone who has been through our #WENChicago Mentoring Program, I couldn't recommend it more. It's a great way to organically grow your network in the industry and meet new people in WEN. For new members, it's a must. Having access to a mentorship circle can ease anxiety around trying out new WEN activities/events, and provides support as you're going through challenges sometimes specific to the industry. It's the last day of International Mentoring Month. I have been lucky enough to mentor either formally or informally about 20 people over the years. Being a mentor has been one of the most meaningful parts of my life. It’s not just about sharing advice—it’s about walking alongside someone, believing in them when they doubt themselves, and celebrating their victories, big and small. The most profound impact has been with the young women I’ve had the privilege to support. I’ve watched them step into their strength, find their voices, and realize their worth. Seeing their confidence grow, their dreams take shape, and their courage shine has been nothing short of inspiring. But what I underestimated was how much they would teach me. Their resilience, fresh perspectives, and determination to push forward have shaped me in ways I never imagined. Mentorship isn’t a one-way street—it’s a shared journey of learning, growth, and connection. The most powerful moments aren’t always grand gestures. Sometimes, it’s a simple conversation, a word of encouragement, or just being there when someone needs to be heard. Those moments add up, creating ripples of change that go far beyond what we can see. Helping young women step into their potential has given me a deeper sense of purpose. It’s a reminder that lifting others up doesn’t just change their lives—it changes ours, too.

✨ Reflecting on Growth: My Takeaways from the WiBD Emerging Technologist Circle ✨ Over the past 12 weeks, I have had the privilege of participating in the WiBD Emerging Technologist Circle program—a transformative experience that has shaped my career outlook and personal growth. Here are some of my key takeaways: 1️⃣ Finding My Tribe: I connected with an incredible group of women who are navigating similar stages in their careers. Our candid conversations provided fresh perspectives on handling challenges that many of us face. Their shared insights and experiences enriched me, and I’m so grateful to have built these meaningful relationships. 2️⃣ Guidance from Inspiring Facilitators: A huge shoutout to our facilitators, Deborah Sgro and Josephine Porrazzo, who shared actionable advice on critical skills like concise communication, networking, self-advocacy, and interviewing. Their guidance gave me clarity and tangible steps to grow professionally. 3️⃣ The Rewarding ‘Comfy Chair’ Activity: One of the most impactful elements of the program was the Comfy Chair activity, where I could ask a pressing career question to the group. The collective wisdom and shared experiences of the participants helped me gain insights and ideas to navigate my challenges. Being part of this program reminded me of the importance of peer mentoring and a strong support network for personal and professional growth. It’s not just about learning new skills but also about gaining the confidence to take on the next steps in our journey.
