Participation in a clinical trial is a treatment option. Talk to your healthcare provider, chances are, they may know a clinical trial that could be a great fit for you. If your provider is not aware of suitable trials, get a second opinion or search for trials on your own. The National Cancer Institute (NCI) Information Service created steps to guide you and provides a tailored clinical trial search. A recent user assessment of our #EasyToHANDLE AmoyDx HRD Focus panel in Mexican patients with High-Grade Serous Ovarian Cancer showed high concordance with established assays and identified additional BRCA variants missed by other tests. While #immunotherapy has revolutionized the #cancer therapeutic paradigm and substantially improved the survival of patients with advanced malignancies, a significant limitation is the wide variability in clinical response. Although anti-PD-1/PD-L1 #ICI treatment achieves impressive long-term survival in some, the overall response rate is modest, ranging from 20-30% in #NSCLC patients. A significant proportion of patients display innate resistance to immunotherapy and many who derive initial clinical benefit experience disease progression at a later stage.
