Talking about DE&I at Schaeffler! I have been working with Khun Volker, Industial team to intervirw the candidate for joing Schaeffler position. I have learnt one thing about DE&I into practices. Khun Volker has shared his expectation and requirement including the respect of work for discrimation, harrasment and so on. He mentionted the team come from many counties, working with divesed culture and we listen to each othet also welcome different ideas to discuss. It has such a nice moment to hear this kind of message from business sides to talk about DE&I topic. Someone asked me how DE&I can drive the business? this is a good start to answer, when the people leaders start to talk and aware all aspects that will be related to Diversity, giving the Equal opportunity & let people to belong and feeI inclusion as well as the respect different opinions can be a great innovation. Today is World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. 🌏 On this day, we want to highlight the essential role of intercultural dialogue and the sustainable development at Leggett & Platt Hydraulics. We inquired about the collaborative experience of two of our employees, Eswaran Subramanian and Julian Mainzer. 🇺🇸 🇩🇪 Although situated in different locations across the globe, they collaborate towards a shared purpose. Eswaran is from India but is currently based in the United States. As a sourcing professional, he identifies and evaluates potential sources that can deliver high-quality, cost-effective parts within the required timeframe. He negotiates prices and collaborates with cross-functional teams and global counterparts to implement strategic sourcing initiatives that align with the business objectives. When asked what it is like working with Julian in Germany. Eswaran said: "We have scheduled meetings with our global counterparts to understand their needs and pain points. Together, we form strategies to address their requirements and ensure that our partners are fulfilling their specific needs. Working with global counterparts allows us to understand their specific needs and global trends. Additionally, we can optimize costs by leveraging the regional expertise and resources of each region. Personally, it promotes cross-cultural understanding and exchange, which enriches personal and professional growth." Julian Mainzer works in Germany as a purchasing manager. He implements the company's strategic direction and operational coordination of the diverse team onsite. Julian said: "The consideration of environmental influences is part of everyday life in procurement. Within the global structure, we collaborate on potential improvements in the supply chain and take into account the experience of each individual. Through Eswaran's global responsibility as sourcing manager, we maintain regular contact to update each other on current projects and initiatives. The experiences and characteristics, especially cultural differences, broaden the understanding of each individual and expand our view of matters.
