Mako Gold Ltd (ASX:MKG) managing director Peter Ledwidge joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion with results from the ongoing mapping and rock chip sampling program at the Tchaga North prospect at its flagship Napié Project in Côte d’Ivoire that yielded up to 79 grams per tonne of #gold. Ledwidge said the discovery adds to the already significant maiden resource of 868,000 ounces of gold. The company's approach involves expanding its resource base by targeting new areas. Out of 17 targets, Tchaga North has emerged as a high-grade zone, evidenced by the presence of a deep artisanal mining pit. The geology team at Mako Gold is actively engaged in mapping and rock chip sampling to generate new drill targets. This process has revealed new structures, prompting a change in drilling direction to effectively target these high-grade veins. With gold reaching an all-time historic high of $2 4650oz I decided to watch this documentary again. A big production with Idris Elba taking viewers on a historical journey of the precious metal. Certainly worth a watch if you haven’t seen it. No surprise that the comments section represents such polarised views on the subject. Since its discovery, Gold has played a key role in the history of the areas that sprung up around it. It is easy, and perhaps even fashionable, to take an objectional view towards an industry with a difficult past. Truth is, Modern Mining has made huge leaps and continues to significantly improve livelihoods in the communities where they operate, while also leading the way in environmental rehabilitation and the switch to renewable energy. There’s also no doubt that the potential exists for Gold Mining in South Africa to make an even bigger economic impact. Astral Resources NL (ASX:AAR) managing director Marc Ducler sits down with Proactive’s Jonathan Jackson to discuss the recently completed reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Kamperman Prospect within the #FeysvilleGoldProject in Western Australia, extending the strike length to approximately 450 metres. The 18-hole, 2,172-metre RC drill program focused on infill and extensional drilling. The program aimed to reduce line spacing to no more than 40 metres and tested an 80-metre northern and 40-metre southern extension. Results showed consistent positive #goldmineralisation, with highlights including 28 metres at 1.99 g/t gold. The successful drilling supports #gold mineralisation interpretation over a 450-metre strike length, which remains open to the north. Astral is now preparing a maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) for Kamperman, along with MRE updates for the Think Big deposit and Rogan Josh prospect,... Astral Resources NL (ASX:AAR) managing director Marc Ducler joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to talk through results from the company’s recent drilling campaign, which included a significant high-grade #gold intercept of 3 metres at 177 g/t at the Kamperman prospect, part of the Feysville Gold Project in Western Australia. This result is from the first 20 holes of a 31-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling program. Ducler commented on the unexpected high-grade results, which suggest the presence of substantial gold mineralisation yet to be fully explored. Previous notable intercepts include 2 metres at 188 g/t gold from 77 metres. Recent assays show further promising results, including 12 metres at 7.26 g/t from 23 metres, with higher grades within the interval. Banyan Gold Corp (TSXV: BYN) has completed a 75% earn-in on the Aurex property, fulfilling its obligations under the agreement with StrataGold, a subsidiary of Victoria Gold. This includes spending over C$3.5 million on exploration and issuing 1.6 million shares to StrataGold. Banyan will now move to formalize a joint venture agreement to further explore the property, which is located in the Yukon and adjacent to their AurMac property, known for its significant gold potential. Reconnaissance sampling has returned rock chip results, including a bonanza-grade sample of up to 170 g/t gold, with other notable results of 41.92 g/t, 6.27 g/t, 4.63 g/t and 3.48 g/t gold. These results indicate the strong potential of this northern section of the project to contribute to the existing mineral resource. A drill program is planned to further explore the area, especially under a prior reverse circulation (RC) drilling target that produced 1-metre at 30.47 g/t gold.
