But if we are truly going to educate our children, we must do it in a developmentally appropriate way. That means being intentional about including time for big-body physical play during the school day. Have you heard of autonomy support? This phenomenon is turning out to be a great way to increase engagement. Autonomy support refers to teachers letting students make their own decisions, without giving up complete control.
