Food marketing is in a league of its own, acutely impacted by consumers' short attention spans. Even news like grand openings no longer guarantees attention like it once did. Kate Finley shares with Fast Casual six factors that food service brands can put to work to stay top of mind and gain headlines. TLDR; To earn positive publicity, ideas must connect to pop culture, embrace generosity or do the unexpected. https://lnkd.in/eJ2Xa7vG #FastCasual #RestaurantMarketing #MediaRelationsTips

In today's food service industry, everybody loves a good story. Shaping and sharing our brand story is not just a trend; it's essential for success. It sets us apart in a crowded marketplace. The heart of our brand story? Humanizing our brand, especially for millennials and Generation Z. These younger generations crave transparency, authenticity, and genuine connections. They see dining as more than just a meal—it's a form of self-expression. Our journey, our passion, our origins—these elements make our story compelling and unique. When we share this honestly, we generate buzz and foster loyalty. So, why did we open our doors? What's the story behind our restaurant? For many independents, it's a deeply personal and engaging tale. Sharing this builds an emotional bridge to our consumers. Once we've crafted our brand story, it's time to take it to market. From menu language and signage to training, marketing materials, and media relations, everything should reflect our story. Always ask: What is the guest gaining from this? #restaurant #story #brand

✍️ Head of Marketing Comms @ Checkmate | 🍔 Helping restaurants simplify & scale their digital business
How are restaurants driving meaningful traffic? Buffalo Wild Wings just showed us one successful blueprint. Their recent LTO isn't just another promo. It's a clever way to drive brand awareness and sales on days that wouldn't normally be busy. On Mondays and Wednesdays, they started offering $19.99 unlimited boneless wings The result? 45.6% increase in Monday visits 49.3% increase in Wednesday visits What's more, during the 7-week period following the introduction of the LTO... Monday visits shot up from 9.1% to 12.3% Wednesday visits increased from 10.2% to 14.1%. Why it matters: LTOs aren't just short-term tactics you should think about for a short-term boost. They can have lasting impacts and drive more frequent dining events if the offer is compelling and relevant. h/t to Placer.ai for their data and charts on this

In the history of terrible ideas in fast food, this one is going to be high on the list of the worst. The Wendy's Company plans to experiment with surge pricing in an age where: 🍔 Guests demand simplicity 🍔 Guests demand transparency 🍔 Guests demand consistency What’s more, this move puts Employees in the near-impossible position of explaining dynamic pricing to an already volatile group of Customers. A group of Customers who, oh by the way, have no shortage of easier (and let’s face it, better) options. The only thing colder than a Frosty will be consumer response to what will be a short-lived failed experiment. https://lnkd.in/eWMrY8AY #fastfood #fastcasual #quickservice #wendys

This question is for Jaime, although anyone is welcome to chime in with their opinion.. I've seen two examples in the recent weeks of "new" chain fast food restaurants moving into the area, per Facebook/Patch. I see the engagement on these posts much higher than posts about new independently owned restaurants/shops/etc. What is it with this? Is this a brand identity/loyalty thing? Is this price? Is this experience? It's not like chain restaurants are winning on price or experience, IMO. #fastfood #smallbusiness #brandidentity

Creative Strategist/Director - Working with business professionals to creatively communicate their offerings.
10 months since my last post…here’s an update. (A positive one lol) The things I’ve learned and implemented have been AMAZING. Once I’ve ventured into restaurant marketing, I knew I was home.🥂 From customer interactions to the kitchen, I gained a sense of understanding that all of it must be in SYNC. Yes, great food attracts people. But, how are restaurant owners consistently attracting and appreciating these people? The answer to this question is that most ARE NOT. Outside of adding a system to your business, empowering the voices of those who shop with you consistently will create loyalty. Stay tuned for more updates on what I’ve learned on this journey.🕺🏾 #contentcreation #restaurantowners

Mk&Sons Group Timhortons Restaurants solved this big problem at cafes and restauarants! Earlier we'd have to either constantly keep our eyes on the counter or the order number display board before getting our food tray(s). But this small buzz device is just the right solution. You place your order, get the bill & buzzer, get seated, device buzzes, you get your order right away. That's it. No crowding at the counter, none of those tray-bumping into people moments, no self-service headaches ;> Let me know in the comments if you know of any other F&B business that uses a similar device or approach to solve this problem ☕️ #growth #business #innovative #learn #linkedin #foodandbeverages #timesaving
