Are you part of the Ag Retail network? If so, you’re part of the problem. We want to blame farmers, but farmers are led around by their input providers. Is NH3 the problem? Stop selling it. Are your growers over applying nutrients (you know who is and isn’t)? Tell them they can’t. Hey pro, you either are or you are not good for agriculture, the planet, and other humans. Farmers will listen, but if all these well-paid salespeople keep selling more than the farm should use, guess what happens… https://lnkd.in/gbXkhnJD #agretailproblems #dontblamethefarmer

12moYou're not wrong. Imagine the conversation at the dinner table though...especially in light of the price inflation in everything the last few years... "Hey honey, I have decided to voluntarily make 25 percent less money this year because I think it's the right thing to do." Are there people capable and willing to do this? Of course. However, it's not the majority. The I dustry needs to continue working on viable alternatives that don't destroy the supply chain's margins or they will continue to be resisted... And yes, full disclosure, I want to help solve the problem too. And yes, I'm self interested and "talking my book" as well.
