Clients are paying you to tell them the hard truth, not make them feel good about being in a mediocre situation. If you really care, you'll help them grow, not grow your ego. I've never had a client upset after a hard conversation that didn't lead to them growing their YouTube channel and business. Regardless of what business you are in there are things you hear that are 'the right way to do things'. Anyone who hires a consultant pays them to help them recognize that the 'advice' they've heard is likely from someone who either hasn't done the thing they want to do or has only done it for themselves. Either way taking their advice more often than not gets you into trouble. Recognize the authorities in the space you need help in. They will shine a light on the mistakes you are about to make, just like you do for your clients. You will be better off and grow your business much faster and with more authority. What stops you from having hard conversations with clients?

As we are in the same industry, I couldn't agree more with Lisa in this episode regarding the values that an agency like Huge and ourselves can bring to partners in terms of growth and how to drive that growth together with them. I also agreed that technology is advancing rapidly, and the complexity of the processes creates a need for partners who understand their customers and the emerging technologies that are developing, as well as how to make the best out of them
