#Methane aand other #CO2e gases are being emitted and often not accounted for by current reporting methods. In the next few months, as more a more satellites are being launched specifically to indentify and with some data integration, measure directly methane emissions. This blog is but one example of gas transmission lines and the related compressor and metering stations where emissions are being released. https://lnkd.in/dqye6ucg Future Energy Partners make it our business to make upstream assets more efficient. We can reduce and eliminate methane emissions. There is money to be made.

"Unlike CO2, methane – the main component of natural gas – has commercial value: the additional methane captured can often be monetised directly, and this is typically easier in the oil and gas sectors than elsewhere in the energy sector.
