I happened upon this lovely little trail when the sun was shining ☀️. With a simple mix of balancing and upper body challenging kit, it's not as easy as it looks! The Stepping Posts are set at different heights to help improve foot eye coordination. The zigzagging Triple Balance Beams have a flat, asymmetric and rounded surface to make things really tricky. Through in some Overhead Bars to build that grip and upper body strength and finish with a Wobble Board at the end for your core. Simple but effective. The Track Ride Tower is something you have to try if you come across one. Loads of fun! It gives you the thrill of gliding through the air, much like when on a zipwire. My first tender win with KOMPAN UK! The brief was to cater for infants to primary school age and beyond. A tricky task with a small(ish) space. We wanted to ensure we have enough engagement for the younger visitors whilst challenging older children. We needed to cover low-level balancing items with plenty of climbing opportunities. The swing seats we included ensured lots of children could use them at the same time. Some elements remained from the old park which we refurbished. The new additions really complimented the space. The communication panels were a nice addition here specified by the council. The splashes of colour in the surfacing draw the eye to the next item to play on. This play area has been in the ground for a few months now and is looking great. Feedback from the local children is hugely positive and passersby comment on how well used it is. The children attending this SEN school needed a way to burn off energy whilst feeling safe. In times of high stress, the sense of swinging, bouncing and being up high would help them to feel calm. This space was left open after a recent refurbishment of the interior of the school. The school was expanded to take on more pupils. There was just enough room for 4 x Basket Swings (coloured differently to help with turn taking and direction) and the Corocord Small Spacenet. This net stands in at an impressive 5.89m and so has the height and bounce many of the children need. There have been lots of good reviews from the users. “I am an inclusive playground.” I was lucky enough to be involved in an Understanding Inclusive and Accessible Play Seminar held at the New Barnet Leisure Centre where KOMPAN UK had recently installed a huge play area. It was a great turn out with good insights into how Barnet Council worked with KOMPAN and Fair Play Barnet to produce an amazing space for all. Play For All. That’s what it should be about. Some during and after pictures here. The grass has recovered well after seeding. The park now looks luscious, especially with the addition of the GreenLine Trio Climber with TexMade posts 💚 (now available in any colour AND 95% recycled plastic). People are still choosing the greens and teals as it looks great in a natural setting. This site is right next to a canal! I happened upon this little gem of a playground the other day. It had been in the ground for a few years now and still looks absolutely fantastic. The hardwood robinia really showing us its natural resilience to the UK elements. The mix of timber and galvanised steel looks great! I particularly liked how the mounds and bunds have been incorporated into play. MUGA looking fly too! This park will be here for years to come. Some lovely additions to a play area in the central Bristol area. The rest of the equipment was still in good condition so we were able to refurbish and maintain it to bring it back to life!
