Did you know that obstacles protruding into a pipe can have several implications during a heavy rainstorm? Protruding obstacles can have a big impact on the sewer system, such as increased risk of flooding and damage, pipe blockage and clogging, as well as erosion and undermining. This is what might have happened with a project in Australia. During an off-maintenance CCTV inspection, penetrations were identified from an adjacent new residential property directly in the obvert of the pipe. The extent of the penetration was approximately 1/3 of the pipe diameter. Hence, in this case, these penetrations were approximately 150mm into the stormwater pipe. In consultation with CSDEE Engineering, it was determined that the PVC protrusion needed to be removed, and the gap between the outside diameter of the PVC and the hole made in the FRC pipe required a Trelleborg DrainPacker repair to reinstate structural strength. A firefighting pump set is a specialized system designed to provide a reliable and high-pressure water supply for firefighting operations. It typically consists of a pump, motor, control panel, and various accessories, all designed to meet the demands of emergency fire situations. These pump sets are powered by electricity, diesel engines, or even petrol engines, depending on the application. They are used to pump water or foam from a reservoir or hydrant to firefighting equipment, ensuring adequate pressure and flow to control and extinguish fires effectively. Firefighting pump sets are commonly used in industrial facilities, commercial buildings, and large residential complexes. #3D_Display_of_Fire_Pump_Package_and_its_Working_Principle. 🧯🧯

A Subdivision Bond is an obligation in favor of a municipality, county, or state government as the Obligee on behalf of the Developer or General Contractor acting as the Principal. The Subdivision Bond indemnifies the Obligee against the builder’s failure to install on and off-site improvements that the local building code requires, such as the construction of streets, curbs, sidewalks, water, sewer, natural gas, electrical work, connection work, creation of drainage basins, etc. #Construction #SubdivisionBond #SuretyBonds #AlterSurety

Stormwater Quality Detention Pond Inspections The initial inspection begins with the drawings in hand. The inspector must walk the site with the drawings to become familiar with the drainage patterns and conveyance (drain pipes, swales, flow paths). As you’ll see, what was constructed is not always what the drawings show. Notate on the drawings anything out of the ordinary. Find the outfall pipe that drains offsite to the city or county sewer, ditch, or bayou and notate that on the drawing. It will be located somewhere on the perimeter of the property. It is essential to understand how the stormwater drains off-site since this is the first place we will look if the drainage system is holding water. This is also where we can usually find the restrictor, the most likely area for blockage. Notate the location of the restrictor on the drawing. Additionally, check the stormwater quality feature which will be a riser pipe, trash screen, or some other creative idea thought up by the engineer. #stormwater #civilengineering #stormwaterprofessionalsgroup #texas #detentionpond #propertymanagement
