Yesterday was the 4th of July and my son had some anxiety around the fireworks. This is very common in kiddos and there are likely to be more fireworks this summer so let’s talk about how you can help ease this anxiety. 🗣 Talk to them about what to expect and explain that it is normal to have anxiety about the loud noises  🎆 Introduce them to the fireworks by first watching from further away  🐻 Bring a warm blanket or stuffy to help comfort them  🎧 Use earplugs or headphones to dampen the noise. Thank you for sharing these thoughtful tips! It's so important to address and validate our children's feelings. I especially love the idea of using earplugs or headphones to make the experience less overwhelming. Has anyone else found other creative ways to help kids cope with fireworks anxiety?
