This was one of the more frustrating and eye opening interviews of this “perspectives” series. It was also one of the most inspiring. Learning first-hand from doctors about the inefficiency created by “the efficiency movement” in healthcare (how is this even possible…), how this creates major frustrations for your employees trying to navigate an already complex healthcare system, and how it unintentionally puts their health in jeopardy. I’m most inspired by the passion, ingenuity, entrepreneurship and problem solving these doctors are bringing to cities near you to provide better care, outcomes and experiences for you and your members. These interviews are intended to be 3 minutes or less, but this conversation ran for about 45 minutes, so will be released in bite sized chunks.
