Hello - Nondiscrimination testing for self-funded medical plans along with cafeteria plans is important and often overlooked. The penalty for failing the test during an IRC audit is your plan will lose their tax-favored status which in turn will lead to a tax liability for the employer as well as your employees. The testing can seem complex, but the Brown & Brown team will simplify the nondiscrimination testing process prior to an audit to make sure your plans are compliant.
