This week, choose the #MotivationMonday mindset over a Dolorous Doldrums alternative. 1️⃣ Set a timer for one minute. 2️⃣ Write down all of the things you are grateful for—no matter how small. 3️⃣ Get back to work. Robert Emmons, a studied science expert of gratitude stated, “This doesn’t mean that life is perfect. It doesn’t ignore complaints, burdens, and hassles. But when we look at life as a whole, gratitude encourages us to identify some amount of goodness in our life.” Read more about the whole health benefits of gratitude from Calm here: https://lnkd.in/eF-4B5_Q DOLOROUS adjective feeling or expressing great sorrow or sadness See dolorous’s more commonly used synonym below: DOLEFUL adjective 1. expressing sorrow; mournful 2. causing grief or misfortune #WOTD #wordoftheday #Monday #motivation

Stuck in your thoughts? Feeling overwhelmed? Sometimes, a simple shift in perspective can be life-changing. Enter gratitude. Taking a moment each day to appreciate the good things, big or small, can rewire your brain to focus on the positive. This shift in paradigm (your way of seeing the world) opens doors to new possibilities, happiness, and a sense of abundance. Start small: What are 3 things you're grateful for today? If you are finding a hard time thinking of 3 things. This will help: 1. Think of the blessing of having to wake up this morning. 2. Your body parts that allowed you to be self dependent. 3. The fact that you can breath and in good health. #GratitudeShift #MindsetMatters #ParadigmShift

“Don’t Be the stress to the next person!” In a world where we constantly point to external pressures, chaotic environments, and overwhelming situations as the sources of our stress, how often do we pause to consider the impact we might be having on others? When we’re caught up in our own stress, it’s easy to unintentionally pass that tension onto colleagues, family, or friends. Stress can be contagious—a ripple effect that spreads, creating a cycle that feels impossible to break. Let’s flip the script. The next time you feel the weight of stress bearing down on you, take a moment to breathe, reflect, and ground yourself. A small act of mindfulness or kindness could prevent that energy from becoming someone else’s burden. Stress is inevitable, but how we manage it can make all the difference. Break the cycle. Be intentional. Let’s lighten each other’s loads, not add to them. This quote was inspired by our last Human Capital session of the year—a powerful and reflective First Rand Human Capital Town Hall. What a great way to close the year and step into the next with a mindset of awareness and care! #BreakTheCycle #MindfulLiving #StressManagement #KindnessMatters Melba Jorge Nhamithambo Uitnei Chamusso Peter Gifty Nyarko what a powerful session! Appreciate it!

You Can’t “Fix” Yourself with a Perfect Morning Routine! I took this picture the morning of October 9 2019, 2 years after I started my personal development journey. At the time I used to think that if I could just perfect my morning routine—meditate, exercise, read scripture, drink water, and eat all the right foods—I’d finally create the life I wanted. I thought, “If I just do more of the healthy stuff, then I’ll feel better.” But even after doing all the “right” things, my soul still felt uneasy. I was stuck in a loop of anxiety, overwhelm, and self-criticism. 💔 Here’s what I finally realized: No amount of external effort can heal what’s broken on the inside. I was striving to be “enough,” constantly pushing myself, thinking I could out-hustle my feelings of inadequacy. But the very thing I was running from—my emotions—was what needed the most attention. It wasn’t until I stopped “shoulding” myself and… …Started connecting with my body and emotions that true healing began. ✨ You can’t just change your mindset without addressing the deeper beliefs that are keeping you stuck. And you can’t access those beliefs without first tuning into what your body is trying to tell you. If you’re feeling disengaged, overwhelmed by routine chaos, or lost in a sea of “shoulds,”... …It’s time to pause and ask yourself: ❓Am I truly listening to what my emotions are trying to tell me? ❓Am I pushing myself to achieve more in order to avoid uncomfortable feelings? ❓Is my focus on fixing myself instead of accepting and connecting with myself? Your journey to clarity, confidence, and courage starts from within. Healing isn’t about doing more— —It’s about being more present with yourself, your body, and your emotions. 🌱 You deserve a life that feels as good on the inside as it looks on the outside. 💫 #Clarity #Confidence #HealingJourney #Leadership #MindsetShift #InnerWork
