To be a world class team, you have to work at it. I’m working closely with a few Senior Teams right now and we are using the 3Ms to bring them together around a common goal which is making their business go faster. I say a bit more about that in this video 👇🏽

A great team is much greater than the sum of its parts. The 🇨🇦 Canadian men’s 4x100 meter 🏃🏾♂️relay team won the Olympic gold medal! 🥇 Never mind medals, none of the Canadian men managed to make an individual final in the 100 m or 200 m this Olympic games. Yet as a team, they came together to win. Contrast this with the U.S. team, who were so successful in the indidual races and were the relay favorites. 🏅They collectively won half of all individual medals in the men’s 100 and 200 meter distances. ⭐️They have several star individual runners. Yet the US relay team finished 7th, and then were disqualified because of a botched hand off. “Not finance. Not strategy. Not technology. What sets a high performing team apart from the rest? Every single crew in the 2000 final of the Sydney race wanted that gold. So, what set Co-founder Ben Hunt-Davis MBE and the Team GB rowing crew apart? 🥇 What made the difference in them clinching gold vs the Aussies, Italians or Croatians? Ben shares his views in our latest article. As Ben often says: "In 1998 we were a rubbish team, by 2000 we were a good team." Ben shares his 'key fundamentals' for what he believes made the difference between them coming consistently 7th and 8th to winning Gold. The change journey they went on as a team now forms the basis of our High Performing Teams programme. In those two years they laid the foundations for high performance. Teamwork Makes The Dreamwork. Regardless of who is on your team...you won't get very far if you are not all rowing in the same direction...or...swimming in the proper lane!! The US women set a new world record in the 4 x 100 medley relay race...and it was not really even close. In a sport separated by tenths or hundredths of seconds, they won by over 3 seconds! Anyone in business can easily make the comparison of team sports and your team in business. Everyone having a job to do, and the other teammates depending on one another to do that job...for the success of the project, the company...or the race! I am loving these Olympic games...the stories of triumph and overcoming obstacles are just so inspiring. And, the sheer emotion of the wins, slight losses or just even finishing... is visible on every competitors face... be it these amazing young women here or so many other athletes from around the world. So freakin' cool!!! And if successful and unsuccessful people share the same goals, then the goal cannot be what differentiates the winners from the losers. It wasn’t the goal of winning the Tour de France that propelled the British cyclists to the top of the sport. Presumably, they had wanted to win the race every year before—just like every other professional team. The goal had always been there. It was only when they implemented a system of continuous small improvements that they achieved a different outcome." 🚵🏽 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗚𝗕 𝗺𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗶𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗮 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝘀𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 36𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗹𝗱 🥇   I love the Olympics, every 4 years there are always stories of human sacrifice alongside the rollercoaster 🎢 of emotions and fine margins as athletes compete to win gold. 🏆   💪🏽Despite the puncture, Team GB Mountain Biker Tom Pidcock showed remarkable belief and composure to work his way back through the field and win the gold medal.   😌 His support team also did not appear to be in a panic when they had to replace his front tyre as quickly as possible. There was an element of luck (sometimes we need this too) as he was close to his "pit" when he got the puncture. What is even more impressive is that the race leader was a Frenchmen who was getting incredible support from the home crowd. This has been one of the most inspiring stories so far at the Olympics outside of the more publicised stories of athletes overcoming their demons such as that of Simone Biles and Adam Peaty (also just as inspiring!)   The pressure and expectation to perform at a single event every 4 years is an achievement in itself for these athletes.   Athletes show us the required magic formula of both 👟 physical and 🧠 mental wellbeing that underpins elite performance. ❤️ The other thing to mention here is even though these are "individual" sports they are really all team sports. There team consisting with engineers, medical staff etc. and of course families; all playing their part.   So much to think about and learn from these athletes in our own careers and personal lives. POWER OF CONSISTENCY: Even if you are the G.O.A.T in your field you can’t step off the track and rest on your laurels unless you decide to retire and take yourself off the hard work train. Ryan Crouser is the GOAT of Shotput having won three consecutive Olympic Gold medals (Rio, Tokyo & Paris) but just days before the gold dust hadn’t even settled down after his event, he is back on the practice mound with his Labrador wearing the medal keeping an eye on the proceedings as he prepares for LA in 2028. We have this habit of taking a chill pill every month end or quarter or year end thinking a lot has been done while the legends keep at it to maintain distance between them and their peers. It takes a special level of discipline and never takes it easy attitude which shall keep you on the pedestal in the age wherein competition is more than ever before. Don’t get complacent, don’t step off the pedal and never think that the job is done, as the next one starts the moment one is done. Take your vacation and breaks but don’t go floating on your achievements for too long, as the very next moment you shall find that you have become yesterday’s stale news. 🇫🇷 1st French team jersey ... as a gift 🇫🇷 It was one of the reasons that motivated me from the start to launch Enduraw to help my country win titles 🥇 C'est peut être un détail pour vous, but to me it means a lot 🇫🇷 Two years ago, the French were a little behind in the world of data and sport, which led us to have almost exclusively foreign athletes. But the home games gave us a tremendous boost (GrAIg, Adrien Sedeaud, Hugo Maciejewski, Aurélie JEAN, Ph.D., MAUNA, François Chiron, Consistency team, ...) and that's great for our country. 🚀 Now full focus on the Olympic Games for the marathon! With such an hilly course that's some interesting parallel with trail running 🔜 My next dreams: to help an athlete win an Olympic title (pls for fr) and to be offered a Red Bull helmet by helping an athlete (because it's so stylish 🤪). #performance #sport #europeanchampionship #olympics #running #data
