Anyone who has been through the Family Court process knows it isn't working as intended. Even professionals support reform. For victims of narcissistic abuse those problems can be exercabated by an individual with personality traits which relish the adversarial nature of hearings and are able to use the process to further their abuse, using DARVO tactics to reverse the victim perpetrator roles and often causing alienation of children from loving parents. Here are some suggestions we have generated but what would you do? https://lnkd.in/drzWf5fe

Document Incidents. This is important for two reasons. Firstly, narcissistic people will gaslight you. They'll tell you things didn't happen when they did and that things did happen when they didn't. They will really start to make you question your reality. So documenting those things enables you to externalize them and it also enables you to keep records so that you can look back when you think you are being gaslit and see for yourself. And if things do get to the point where you need to get the police involved, you've got a record of what's been going on.#innerchildhealing #innerchildwork #innerchild #narcissisticabuse #narcissm #narcissistic #narcissisticfamily #narcissisticfather #narcissisticmother #narcissisticparents

Award Winning Producer, Writer, Actress, Director- Producer to the first responder family documentary “Is There Something Going On at Home?”
COLLATERAL DAMAGE - My daughter Angela Franklin, and our family became collateral damage after the years of cumulative trauma that my husband was dealing with from his law enforcement career or I should say, not dealing with. The trauma kept building and just like a pressure cooker, he eventually could no longer keep it all contained. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard from police officers “my son, my daughter or my kids don’t speak to me”. As adults we make choices but our children don’t have that luxury. What is it going to take? First responders are not the only ones suffering. We made it through as a family. We are a clear example that there is hope. We can change this narrative by addressing the issues head on. Better yet let’s make sure we aren’t letting it get so far. Don’t our children deserve to be brought up in a healthy environment? Dont we all deserve that? The documentary “IS THERE SOMETHING GOING ON AT HOME?” can be the first step to start the conversation. It’s is now available on Amazon https://lnkd.in/ej_BvPrx More information can be found at https://lnkd.in/gMuR8K3w Jason Harney Scott Medlin Dr. Olivia Johnson Glen Williams Rachel Medlin #firstresponders #policefamily #familyfirst #documentary #letsstarttheconversation

One of the most insidious aspects of coercive control is its silence. Victims may suffer in silence, unaware of the extent of their abuse or unable to break free from the invisible chains that bind them. It thrives in the shadows, perpetuating a cycle of fear and dependency. But we refuse to let coercive control remain hidden in the darkness. By shedding light on this form of abuse, we empower survivors to speak out, seek help, and reclaim their autonomy. Together, we can break the silence and create a world where coercive control has no place. #EndCoerciveControl #BreakTheSilence #SpeakOut #DomesticAbuseAwareness #EmpowerSurvivors #SupportSurvivors
