I think it is so important to recognise and grab opportunities. It is what I love about business. Some opportunities are pur gold and precious. Some may sink lead and you learn from those experiences too. No opportunity taken is wasted. The only opportunity that is wasted is the opportunity that you are to frightened to grab.

💬 The other day, during a challenging Crossfit workout, my coach asked me a simple question: "Are you gonna try it?" Without hesitation, I responded, "I will always try." In that moment, I felt a rush of emotions, I even teared up a bit. For me, the willingness to try, to take chances, and to embrace uncertainty is not just about achieving success but about the immense pride in knowing I've taken steps that many don't. Every time I act despite my fears, I feel a surge of confidence and a huge sense of accomplishment. I feel proud of the person I am. 🌟 Being open to trying and taking chances has taught me that it's okay to get it wrong sometimes because the act of trying is, in itself, a victory. It's about going after what I want, even when fear looms large. I firmly believe that having the right attitude is often more important than having all the answers. Skills can be learned and perfected over time, but the courage to try is what sets you apart. Here, the context matters. If you were on a shaky ground that was about to give way; Hey, Jump! Worst case scenario, you'll still fall (hopefully not to pieces). At least, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing that you made a move. Growth often involves some sort of movement. It could be in small steps or giant leaps. In any case, first assess the risks, provide a cushion to absorb as much shock as you can, and choose the right time (there's often no perfect time, just don't jump prematurely or keep procrastinating till it's too late). Then, go for it!

Whilst I agree with the sentiment of “jumping in” especially as action is the way out of inaction. You shouldn’t ignore what you might be in fear of. There no need to just push through feeling crunchy and uncomfortable. Before you move into action you can lean into understand what the fear is trying to tell you. Could it be one of these (or something else) …. Pursuit of perfection/not feeling ready? Worry of looking silly? Thinking you will disappoint someone? When you know why your frightened you can find ways to “jump” that feel doable and lead to building your courage. If your feeling like you can’t jump in, please know it’s okay, your a wonderful human with emotions, behaviours and thoughts that sometimes get in the way of what we want to do.
