Throughout my career writing about campgrounds and RV parks and promoting them, I have found that it's the parks that win awards -- either at the state or national level or both -- that get media attention. Time and time again, the parks with the most publicity and the highest levels of recognition are those that take the time to compete in industry contests. Park operators should take this seriously.
