I-526E Processing Times Update With a lack of updates from USCIS, IIUSA, the leading trade association in the EB-5 industry, has taken the initiative. Collaborating with 11 Regional Centers, they analyzed available data to provide valuable insights into I-526E petition processing times. - Rural I-526E Petitions: Average processing time is 10 months, with a typical range of 6 to 15 months. - High-Unemployment I-526E Petitions: Average processing time is 14 months, with a typical range of 11 to 16 months. This data, collected as of mid-2024, covers 1,254 I-526E cases filed between June 2022 and August 2024, representing nearly 25% of all I-526E filings and close to 50% of approvals during this period. The Canadian Public Accountability Board, Canada’s independent regulator for public company auditors, wants to publish a summary of all of its inspection reports, not just those where significant enforcement action results: https://lnkd.in/dkMQMXc. Many other regulators already publish their inspection findings with the registrant’s name. The CPAB currently also publishes an annual summary of the aggregate inspection results. For example, in 2023 the rate of significant findings was almost 20% for the big four accounting firms, but was triple that for smaller firms. #professionalregulation

💥 The FCA's policy statement implementing the Overseas Fund Regime (OFR) was published today! Firms looking to market EEA UCITS into the UK following the end of the Brexit temporary marketing permissions regime (TMPR), now have clarity on: 📑 The information to be provided to obtain recognition - this will include information on the marketing/distribution strategy and, where relevant, which UK authorised firm will approve the financial promotions. 💰 Fees charged for the application and on ongoing basis. 📚 Disclosure requirements e.g. which UK prospectus requirements apply. Lack of access to the UK Financial Ombudsman Service or Financial Services Compensation Scheme should also be flagged. The new Handbook rules and guidance will come into force on 31 July 2024.
